Saw your hvac vid and had to post in the hope you see this but thank you so much for helping us fix things

My gas oven is a Caloric that is about 50 yrs old. It used to work sometimes, not others. Once in a while I would turn the dial to a certain temp. If the oven came on, I'd scramble around the house to find things to bake, because there was no guarantee when it would come on again. It hasn't come on in about 6 months now. I think that as soon as I feel able to try, I will use my little hand truck to get the oven out of my house. Meanwhile, I continue to use the stove top. Always good to see a new video from you, Jay. I still watch some old ones! Take a left here! 😂

Oh wow! A 50 year old oven is almost an achievement! If it hasn't come on in 6 months I would guess some part on it is faulty and needs to be replaced. I wonder if any parts would actually be available for that one. Probably not.. Glad to hear that you enjoy the videos and are still liking the jokes! Hello 👋 Hello 👋 my number one good bestest buddy Jay ✌️👍good to see you buddy, I love that shirt 👕 I got my shirt in the mail couple days ago they sent me the right size, wow I never did know that you could do that to ovens like that, I always had a hard time just setting the clock on them. Now that was a very good educational video I'm sure a lot of people are going to benefit from this..the weather is very nice here I mowed grass all day yesterday got my yard and the abandoned lot above me mowed and got everything looking really nice I just got here at my brother's house today and I went off and forgot to bring the shirt so he can take my picture but I'm going to try to today when I get back home it's just I never have company or any visitors to do that is what makes it so difficult..I hope you all are doing well my friend and I always keep you all in my prayers always you all just feel like family to me I never thought I'd ever connect with anyone on KZread or social media and make such good friends but I did and I'm really thankful for God in letting me have such wonderful friends I'm truly blessed, tell everyone I said hello and I love you all my dear friends.

quick question my friend i change my contactor in my house wish is 3 ton condensor with a 30 amps contactor i just find out it should be 40amps will this cost problem to my unit or is ok

No way! My oven quit working and I tried to fix it and I got that mode I didn't know what it was and I think that we messed it up because of changing the temperature like that maybe so now I know what's going on possibly at least! We haven't been able to use the oven in over a year now it's been very difficult. Thank you so much for your videos God bless❤🎉😊

lol, I just watched that famous Clint Eastwood movie. '' Right turn Clyde! I do have a temperature probe somewhere. My first thought was. Could a handheld lasers type temperature sensor do the job? Then it was obvious that It would not be accurate as a meter. Cool stuff 😁 /

PS .. my stove 1953 Philco .. oven runs a little hot so I set it about 25 degrees F lower. I think it may run hot because door not shut as tight as it should due to slightly sprung from being used as table by a little brother long ago.

Glad to hear that you liked the video and even the joke. 😄 And wow. A 1953 stove is legendary. They probably made those like tanks back in the day! Actually made to last. New door hinges are probably no longer available for that one but that would be the usual fix for someone sitting on the oven door. Good to hear that besides running a little to hot, your oven is still working like a champ though! May it go strong for another 50 years!

I love your videos. How is your darling camera person? U need to put her on every once in awhile. I’m assuming you’re still in Hawaii. I have that exact same meter with the same temperature probe. Whenever I’m stuck on an AC problem, I consult your vids. Does camera person still laugh at your jokes? I bet she does. U guys r a wonderful couple!!!

Thank you! My darling wife is doing great! She doesn't like going on camera so it's a rare occurrence nowadays. Yes, we are still enjoying life in Hawaii. Glad to hear that the videos continue to be helpful! Yes, most of the time she does laugh at the jokes. Actually if she doesn't like it, the joke usually gets cancelled. 😄 I only agree, it's because God has blessed our marriage.

Howdy my friend! If the surface element is shocking you, that means it's shorting out. I would turn off the power, take all the elements out, and open up that whole top lid. (should be able to just pull it right up) There's a good chance that you will see something burnt or broken at the front left socket. Depending on what is broken, you may need to simply snip off a piece of burnt wire and put on a new connector or replace that socket because it's falling apart. It's possible there was a mouse in there too if you live in an area where they sometimes get in the house.
