Launchers like UBI, EA Desktop and GOG also have offline mode. Sure, some games still won't work offline for various reasons.

i don't in how many game this aplay if you install in epic and go to file directory and open the exe file the run the game with out even open the epic game launcher at all at least in many old game this works with out eny issue im not sure abut newer game's though.

But is there an offline hour count on Steam yet?

When it comes to PCs, it's never this straightforward. Between authentication issues between launchers, DRM, and other weird shenanigans you wouldn't see on consoles, it's anything but straightforward and new consumers deserve to know.

The game pass stuff, the Xbox counts as another device to play games offline, obviously that mf is connected to internet all the time, but lets say that my internet die , I’ll be able to play games from the games offline or do I have to switch to Legion to do that?

This is one reason I love my Steam Deck so much. I don't need to worry about this BS.

There have been PC handhelds before the Steam Deck actually. Mostly from GPD and Aya Neo, not Lenovo or ASUS though.

That's just steam though not really just the steam deck. EGS, Ubisoft, EA, and others are just as much of a pain on Steam Deck if not even worse than on windows. So offline to me they are identical

@@crestofhonor2349 heroic launcher is on steam deck as well giving you access to EGS,GOG and Amazon games offline. And if I had to restart my Deck, I can still access what I need.

Because it's a multifaceted question with multiple answers depending on how you primarily play your games. There IS no one answer that satisfies all parties.
