we had chickens as pets growing up. They are super smart and affectionate. So this story as wholesome as it is gives me serotonin and feels for the chickens I had as a small child.

The Flintstones had a little dinosaur as a family pet 😂 and since all birds are technically dinos, all domesticated once can be good pets. They just need a bit of attention and encouragement and of course LOTS of love.

Reminds me of my rescue chicken, Cleo, I had as a kid. She'd follow us around like a dog too. My mom wound up giving her away to a relative who owned a farm, and he'd tell us how she ran up to him when he called her name. Wishing you lots of happy times together.❤️

This is so sweet, I love what that lady has done for that chicken, but the chicken needs other chickens. They are a flock animal, and need the companionship of others. Really, it isn't harder to take care of 4 as it is one. Keep up the good work with her though
I go way back with chickens but they make great pets. All over in key west fl and act like they own the place. I had a car lot that came with a hen that was very nice to have for a pet also

The closest I ever got to having a pet chicken was when it was still a chick. But according to my parents, it died & they recall it had ants crawling on it. I was probably around 3 years old, so I was obviously clueless what was going on at that age, heh. I do have a very very hazy memory of it, unless I somehow made up that memory. 04/08/24
I grew up with pet chickens, and they were lovely creatures. But my father kept some "nameless" chickens, and you know what happened to them.
