You serious? Soooo dogs, cats or other animals…like my rats who only live about 2yrs….they’re NOT family members? I think you know that was a silly false statement to claim 🙄 Like per owners who adore their pets and die for them…..ALL think of them as family…..REGARDLESS of age. Good grief.

@tonyshaw7420 as you can see, the point was completely missed. Before anyone should even think about owning one of several exotic breed birds, they should do LOTS of homework. When you consider some can have a 50+ year lifespan for healthy birds, it’s easy to see how they could outlive their owners. I was an assistant manager at a pet store, and while I would have loved to have owned some of our birds, I just couldn’t take on that kind of commitment. Luckily I still got to be around them, and interact with them at the store.

I've had my cockatoo . A rescue..for over 22 years. People don't understand how drastically you have to change your lifestyle and habits to accommodate them. It's why so many end up in shelters or killed.
Boo looks like a very happy cockatoo, and we have you to thank for giving him the love and support as his guardian. Thank you!❤️👍

I have to give you credit. As loveable as Boo apparently is, he (she?) would drive me crazy.
In case you the viewer missed it: Birbs are VERY MESSY !! Does not matter if big or smol birb. THEY ARE ALL MESSY AS FUDGE !! So if you consider having a birb, i hope you like cleaning A LOT :'D
i love that you have the patience to just let him be himself.. not everyone would and might try to crush his spirit to make him behave. hope you two live a really long time together!

Cockatoos are definitely the most zany, entertaining boids ever. I have a cockatiel who turned 25 in February and he has been a great joy in my life. He had a birth defect which saw him completely blind by age 1 but his playful personality wasn't affected. Anyone wishes to see "George" can find him on KZread; George Gershwin Blind Cockatiel. In one video he does his tap dance routine on a snare drum.
My Goffins, Molly, is the same - loud, boisterous and is quite the beggar for whatever I'm eating. Love her just as she is.

I have a goffins also he's about 30. I got him from an 85 year old man who could no longer care for him. He is exactly like yours
I have had my goffins cockatoo for 35 years! She was wild caught back when it was legal and we got her from a couple that didn't know what to do with a wild bird. In her old age she is not as energetic, takes more naps but still has her ear piercing screams that seem to go on for much too long.

After living with this woman and her taking care of him,he wouldn't survive in the wild,he has no survival skills.Besides that,he's happy,well-cared for and has a great life,so what's the problem?

Simply terrible! Cockatoos are flocking birds and should never be kept alone. The people who keep these parrots like this have no idea how to love animals and keep parrots. These videos encourage this wrong way of keeping parrots. Why don't you show videos of how parrots are kept correctly in captivity!!!!!!!!
Love this!! I too was young when I got my blue front amazon, he just turned 35. I've had him since he was 3 months old. He's a handful sometimes and drives me nuts but I love him dearly! He has been with me through a lot in my life.😊🤗❤️🦜
