it sucks that there is no specialised treatment there. I hate when a lot of students come and stare at me like that. I hate doctors in general, because so many times they say things thst range from unhelpful to traumatic often from ignorance but sometimes also out of a sick kind of vindictive resentment of mental illness and some kind of thrill from the power they have and the way they can make you feel humiliated. Or at least that how it feels. I admire your honesty in what you said about feeling like you achieved something and were recognised for it. Which is really something they should realise too and not feed into be use that is part of the illness and if they had any knowledge whatsoever they would know that as well. I really wish they were not so ignorant. I have to go to the hospital this week for something not ED -related but i'm so anxious because i KNOW they will say something about it and be really triggering. Ugh. I hate it.

i hope it went well for you. Dr does think they are superior somehow because of what they learn in school. They are not trained in communication. a dr is useless, esp a psychiatrist, unless he/she can build good relationship with a patient in the first place. I am glad I have a dr who is trying at least. luvya

i have actually never heard of it. i just checked it up online though. My dr nor my cp has mentioned it to me. i guess we are not that fore-front on therapy approaches
