I mean it was not worth the money at all. Its a very simple vogue pattern dress for that money you would want handmade lace and wild pearls or gold thréad or something. Its just a ridiculous price for what it is.
Dad said he felt that $6000 was his top price. I think it is unfair of a child to expect her dad to pay more than what the father felt was his top price. The bride should have paid the $2000 difference. It is a dress that is only worn once. This bride will need to learn to live within her means. Marriages fall apart when couples do not live within their means. Parents need to teach their children fiscal responsibility. They will be happier learning to live within their means. Study hard, learn to work hard and not spend money on frivolous things. Simple things can be fun too!

@@justcogitating She's an idiot.
I LOVED the first one on her! It was elegant with the vintage flair and showcased her instead of her showcasing a dress. For my taste that bling bow was too much! Her bold lip, how she wears her hair, the color of her hair (black), her tattoos are all BOLD. So the simplicity of the dress allowed her to shine through better. She still will be beautiful. It's not an ugly dress, her pick, but lol. Still a first dress fan.
The first dress, which was gorgeous and suited her well, was much less expensive.
Mine was a second hand dress cleaned and perfectly tailored to my body. My Mum bought it from a hospice charity then when I was done I donated it to a cancer charity. It made twice as much as Mum paid - result. AND I've been married for 36 years
I have the exact same taste as this bride. She looked amazing. The first dress was probably my favorite. I love the simple elegance look, no tool, no bling, no lace.
I envy these women so much. All that love especially from their families.
neckline on the first dress was gorgeous. very demure, like her mom said
Loved the first dress, really liked the second dress, definitely did not like the third dress! To ME, the bows look kind of silly, and the skirt is too "poofed out", like... it balloons out from the waist. (I suck at describing what's in my head; if you could see my hands, I could show you what I mean, LOL!) And those straps... they would drive me crazy! In the front, they attach way to far back under the armpits, which would chafe, to me. Plus, it leaves a gap between the strap and the from of the armpit. (Again, if you could see my hands... ). And it causes the straps to try to slide off her shoulders; she was repositioning them a lot.
The first dress really is a great hit though. I love the style on her so so much.
I love the sparkly bow.
That dress isn't worth $8200.

Do you understand what amount work goes into a couture wedding gown? This isn’t some cheap polyester thing you can order from Shein. This is hand cut, measured to your exact body shape, fitted, hand embroidered and beaded from hem to bodice. It takes hours and hours of work not to mention that it’s made of silk. People are so used to going to Walmart, buying mass produced stuff that they wear a few times and throw away into Goodwill. If you pay 8K for a gown you will get a gown worth 8K.

I get that the dress is important to the wedding day, but $8200 for a dress that's going to be worn once for part of a day? I don't get it. Dad was put in an awkward position of not being able to say no. Brides - if your parent(s) are paying for the dress, be mindful and respectful of the price, knowing it's a gift from your parent(s) and don't take advantage of it.
These simple dresses are stunning.... but why the high price tag on such simple styles? $8200?
This was the most fun "Say Yes to the Dress" that I've ever seen. Such a quirky and amazing bride. And the family, the adorable father and brother, so great!!!
Of course it's perfect, it's over budget. Let's take advantage of Dad's budget.
I think that first dress is utterly stunning on her. And her brother is right, Bling with that many tattoos, would be very busy. Detracting from that gorgeous, clean dress. I'm not finished yet, but it's hard to imagine her topping that one. Edited: I still think the first dress. That neckline...so elegant. I'm a Reem Acra fan, but I think the first dress was so much more flattering.
One of the more beautiful and interesting dresses on this show. Just stunning in its simple lines and delicate embellishment. And the perfect bride for it.
My mom told me that when she found her wedding dress, it was very plain with a boat neck. It was a raw silk A-line and cost $600 in 1960. Her aunt who was a seamstress on Broadway shows, added a simple lace to the neckline and starburst Swarovski crystals on the skirt. I have her photos and she was a beautiful bride. Unfortunately she didn’t persevere it so it was ruined. But, truly, it was a gorgeous dress!
I love how the bride knew what she wanted and wouldn't budge. She was so sure of the rightness of the dresses, she couldn't keep still. I love how the family had a positive vibe and tried to choose their words carefully. I didn't appreciate that the dress chosen was over budget. I'm hoping their was a conversation we didn't see before she put it on. I absolutely love how dad said at the end " thank you for letting me be a part of it."
