【Kyoto】Gorilla⭐️Silverback Momotaro‼︎ The road to becoming a good father(Indoor edition)

In order to prevent COVID-19, I can't see inside the gorilla room since April, so I edited only the past indoor video.
It's a pity I can't see what Momotaro and Kintaro are doing in the room, but I hope they're playing together in the room for a bit.
⚠️⚠️⚠️Visitors are kept away from the glass to prevent the gorilla from getting the virus.
So it seems that it will take some time before I can shoot videos like I used to.⚠️⚠️⚠️

⭐️モモタロウ Momotaro ♂(2000/7/3)
momotaro was born at Ueno zoo in Tokyo on jul.3,2000 and came to our zoo on Oct.18,2010.
He is beautiful and handsome ,the silverback of our troop.
He is a little timid,and scared of new things.
He sometimes shows lovely behaviors that melt our hearts.
He is making efforts to be a good dad for his two sons.
⭐️ゲンキ Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Genki was born at our zoo on Jun,24,1986.
After mating with several males without a pregnancy she found her perfect partner.Momotaro.
Now she is a loving and caring mom for her two sons.
She sometimes behaves boldly,yet she can also be sensitive.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️ゲンタロウ Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at our zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
Everyone immediately agrees that he is a very adorable boy.
⭐️キンタロウ Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at our zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.
He love to play by himself,with his father.
He is still small, but smart and strong-willed.
His cute appearance and behavior attract everyone's interest.

ゴリラのおくゆかしさと言うか、空気を読んで行動してる感じが、思いやりのある動物なんだって思う。
If only they could be on a reserve. Wonderful to see them interact as a family, but heart breaking also.

赤ちゃんの可愛らしさは、もちろんですが お父さんの様子が、また可愛らしい。 赤ちゃん、安心しきって遊んでますよね。 お母さんは、さり気なく見守り お父さんは、赤ちゃんに関わりたくて仕方ない。 その関係が微笑ましい。
Gorilla moms have a lot of reason to be wary with their babies around their dad. Amazing how Momotaro is aware of this, and is trying his best to be very gentle so not to scare mom! It’s also adorable how that other female is helping watch the baby around dad.

Amazing that an 800 pound Silverback gorilla knows how to be a better father than some humans I know.

気になって仕方ないんですよね… でもいきなりグイグイいくんじゃなくて、ちゃんと距離を取りながら徐々に近付いて行こうと努力してる姿に、偉いなぁーとほっこりしました！

What a good dad he is! He waited for his son to come to him, so he didn't frighten him. And Mum positioned herself for a quick rescue, each time, should it be needed. Such a lovely little family! All of these videos show a great family in a zoo where they are truly cared for. Well done to everyone involved in their care! What a great dad! I’ll bet he wanted to tell that gorilla who kept interfering to buzz off, but that would have frightened his baby, so he waited patiently! Amazingly good instincts! I love him! When he laid down to be on the same level as the baby, I was amazed! That's a very human thing to do! We know it makes human children more comfortable when adults get down to their level! Amazing! Thanks for this video!

The gorilla who “kept interfering” was his older SON!
Notice how the mother is always on alert and is ready to move in and grab the baby If dad gets a little too close. She such a protective mother ❤
本当にほのぼのした、昔の家族の風景みたい。 チビちゃんの動きっ放しを、お母さんの目を盗みながら、おっかなびっくり触ってたお父さん😅 ずーっと子供を飽きもせず見守ってる父と母。 今の人間より幸せな子供かも。 本当に優しいんだと感動すら覚えます💕

The big guy is so patient he wants to interact with the baby but doesn't want to scare it or worry mom pretty mature and intelligent behavior

ゴリラの世界で、こんな子どもに優しい父親っているのでしょうか。そして、子どもだけでなく、お母さんのゲンキを一番大事にしているのが伝わってきます。 オスゴリラの怖さは、姉さん女房のゲンキは分かってるはず。そのゲンキが心配して子どもを連れて行くのを、そのままにして見守っている。 モモタロウのような優しい父親ゴリラが、飼育下だけでも増えていくといいですよね✨
These videos always make me tear up! Genki loved and nurtured my little Kinny! Momo was so amazed by his tiny son and Gentaro was trying to do anything to touch his baby brother! Kinny was such an adorable Smurfy little kid with his huge eyes! I love this family so much!🥹

It was so fascinating to watch him slowly become very protective and caring of his baby. When the lady gave him food, he even stood close to his baby.
How precious to see daddy Momotaro taking interest in his offspring little Kyoto building such a beautiful bond between the two . I think a Silverbacks interaction with their young depends on their personality some more willing then others but this pair has certainly become very close.🦍🦍❤️❤️

Awww 🥰 He was just rocking and patting the baby monkey like a human baby. Babies and toddlers often remind me of little monkeys by how they like to climb and how mischievous they are. Even the gorilla parents know you have to watch them closely so they don’t get into trouble lmbo 😂

9分40秒くらいから、お父さんがお母さんの様子を伺いながらチビちゃんと戯れたい様子が面白いですね😊 お母さんはお父さんにチビちゃんが襲われるんじゃないかと気が気じゃないんですね。
It's so amazing how much they interact as a family unit! So gentle and loving! Some of their gustures and their body language is just like ours. I laughed out loud when dad sat back, crossed his legs and was watching his family! He looked so much like a human dad watching his family at a park. They are truly magnificent creatures! Most humans could take lessons from them!
He watches his son with such love and affection.

If they cannot be released then they should have a much bigger compound with more to stimulate them. Trees, climbing stuff etc
