To me it’s cruelty for the animals to have to endure the astonishing loud and disruptive noise from all the humans. If she had a choice, I’m sure mom would get out of there with her infant.

I can’t say I disagree. People really should be more respectful to the animals, and I really wish my zoo had put up “please be quiet” signs by the exhibits. Not that that’d guarantee that everyone would listen, but still. Even I felt all that noise was very irritating!

My first thought. This is cruel for these poor animals to have to endure this noise day after day. I used to love zoos. Now, I will not set foot in one.

If I have to turn the volume down because of the visitors imagine how they feel

Man they need to put HUGE signs up that say “PLEASE WHISPER “ … these people were so disrespectful and LOUD.. it wasn’t even necessarily the kids, but the loud ADULTS … this gorilla was NOT tired but ANNOYED

So glad they can't hear all the noise behind the soundproof glass.

This is horrific if these poor animals are subject to this noise.

Calm down everybody!! The person recording is on the other side of the soundproof glass! So, the gorillas probably hear nothing or very little of the noise we hear.

Thank you! While I appreciate everyone's concern for the gorillas, whenever I visit them, they never really seem to mind the noise too much. Sure, the silverbacks love to run up and hit the glass, but that's more of them just being playful and asserting their dominance. I think the gorillas at the Pittsburgh Zoo are doing just fine, but hey, what do I know?

How can people behave so loudly in a place where there are wild animals that have several times better hearing than humans! I don't think even thick glass dampens the awful noise! This is cruelty, not animal protection! Shame on you people, you would be better suited to these cages!

Shame to expose these primates, specialy mother and newborn, in this noisy place closed to the visitors. It is absolutly unrespectable.

I was trying to enjoy this video with the mama gorilla amd her baby, but man the voices are so disruptive and ruins the video entirely.

I feel so very sorry for all of the animals in the zoos. To be on public display constantly and forced to listen to the shouts and screams and laughter @ babies crying @ children yelling... it must be just maddening to endure all Thai noise every day all day with no escape...
