Why do they bred these poor animals only to have them live their lifetime in what is basically a cage? They can live as long as a human. imagine having to live 80 years in that little area. Appalling.

My all time fav video from this channel was the one where Gentaro, jealous AF of a fairly new baby Kintaro, attempted to mess with kintaro over and over, snatching him by his leg when Genki wasn’t looking, or even when she was, and running, or just trying to poke him or tackle him-i know people thought it was rough, but these are gorillas and even the baby was not in danger. Gentaro became a very good brother quickly thereafter

Not 100%. There are many similarities but there are also critical differences. Just the fact alone that soon gentaro will be permanently removed from this family due to his father wanting to kill him is a key difference between us and them. Adult human males can live together. They cannot in the gorilla world. Not even father and son. There are a lot of social differences between humans and apes. Genki the mom almost died at her previous zoo bc she had a miscarriage and the other females wanted her out of the troop bc she was seen as useless. She self mutilated and had to he moved to this zoo. That sort of thing really reminds you that these are definitely wild animals and not similar to humans socially.

Filming is done from outside. I understand that the gorillas don’t hear the noises that we hear.
Why is Gentaro such a shrimp? His father at his age was 1/2 a foot taller at least, and at least 100lb heavier. Gentaro is a very tiny almost-silverback.
He will have a growth spurt, he is only 12. He will be as big as MOMO at 15
Genki is small too and Gentaro is like her
Not even close to a shrimp, Momo was more developed but not heavier at this age. Gentaro will be just as massive by the time he hits Momos age. They bulk up every year.
Momo also grew faster because he didn't have a father.
@@epicFrogman Look at Momo at 10, compared to Gentaro at 12. Momo was immensely larger at 10 than Gentaro is at 12. Gentaro is a shrimp-back.

I think when Gentaro moves to a new enclosure to form his own troop that some new females should be introduced. Healthy competition and social group for genki and will prevent lonliness for for all involved, especially Kintaro. plus a new mate for Momo will Give Kin some new brothers and sisters to play with
Creo quel los propietarios están siendo muy inconscientes con las familias de 🦍 ,quieren crías y no planifican nuevos recintos ,Gentaro tiene 12 años y aún no le tienen un lugar donde pueda formar su família, sólo ven como negocio,si es caro que no los tengan, que los dejen en libertad en una zona restringida

Its a bummer that they will have to separate the 2 brothers forever soon but it is what it is. Cant have 2 adult males living together. He and his father would try and kill each other. Kintaro is gonna miss him a lot.
