Her generation at SNL - with Bill Hader, Will Forte, Nasim Pedrad to name a few - was my favourite. Her chemistry with Bill Hader especially was so incredibly funny.

Bill, Kristen and Fred seemed like the goofy/silly little club of their cast, no surprises they worked together so many times outside of SNL.

You can really tell in the tone of Conan’s voice that he deeply respects her talent and craft.

Mr.Short term memory was one of my favourite sketches. I had it taped and watched it so many times. I laughed so hard at the part where Tom Hanks spits out the food and says he already had chewed food in his mouth. Brilliant!

I love that she said she was warm! Remember when Bill Hader went on Conan and his impression of Kristen was that she was always cold and asking everyone if they are going to that thing.

@@12bravo68Conan is a great talk show host. When he talks this much it’s because he understands that he is required to “drive” the conversation. Kristen Wiig, in contrast to her SNL characters, is pretty shy and short with her words. Compare her interview to someone like Norm McDonald’s and you can see both ends of Conan’s spectrum. He lets Norm drive because he understands that’s what he needs to do. There would be a lot of dead air if it weren’t for him doing this with Kristen.

This is the first time I have seen Conan the legend O'Brien trying to impress somebody, you can tell by his voice and I can totally understand why. Kristen has been my all time favorite SNL Sketch artist, and she seems so effortlessly hilarious and she's a chameleon of an actress! When I saw the thumbnail Kristen on the team coco podcast I immediately clicked on it!😃

I love finding out which sketches Conan wrote. I thought Mr. Short Term Memory was hilarious when I first saw it as a kid, and the song was so catchy I still remember the lyrics to this day. Its no wonder I loved the style of humor of Conan and Smigel later on when Late Night started. I was already exposed to it at a younger age! I am going to bet they also wrote the Lyle sketch for Dana Carvey 😂. Those theme song intros definitely made the sketches better - I'm glad they convinced Lorne to keep them in.

My fav eps are when an SNL alumn comes on. It’s always fun to hear what’s going on backstage for them. Even though I wonder why more of them aren’t covered in grey with how stressed they were all the time

At the end of the day I just want to say this. Let them cook! These are two absolute comedy legends taking the measures of each other. Some nervousness, some shyness, some clunky stuff, some awkward passage, but some real comedy pearls too. Let them breathe. The first time was good. The second time will be fantastic. I could already see it. As a comedy nerd, I was waiting for this for so long! Kristen is the indisputable queen of sketch comedy and Conan is a comedy genius and my favorite. Something good will come out of this. Just you wait.

Kristen is one of my idols. Hot and so beautiful could’ve easily went a bombshell route but she’s so hilarious and so funny and obviously comedy was what she was meant for. She is amazing such an icon.

For me, her best was singing Major Tom in Walter Mitty. She did a fantastic job.

Me too. It seems insane to me how that sketch didn't work out. Just hearing Bill describe the sketch to Kevin Pollak makes me laugh so hard. Writing a good sketch and executing it is really difficult.

She was really the funniest person on SNL, I miss her so much. Incredibly talented.

She's truly great. You will see her old SNL clips on your feed and think ah ill laugh again, even though I've seen it. That's rare for me. And the best ones have no real ensemble, it's all her.

Kristen is amazing. Definitely a top 10 all time cast member. And, she really was an accomplished dancer which she used to her full comedic advantage.

Now I want to see both sketches. I wonder if there is video of those dress rehearsals anywhere.

Conan is such a huge Kristen fan that he maybe got a bit carried away in this episode. Kristen isn't totally quiet all the way though, don't judge the episode by this clip.

Listening to this episode made me realize I’ve never seen Kristen wiig out of character!! It’s uncanny !

Part of it too is that it is easier to perform well before people who are on your team and want you to succeed than it is in front of strangers.

Michelle Dison the disturbed news reporter was one of my favourites.

And she did a full frontal in a film..she's the best!!

A great admirer of Kirsten Wiig's humor... her appearances on SNL were superlative...so many memorable performances. Listening to her full interview it seems she must dredge her art through her basically reserved persona.. like a vintage bottle of champagne 🍾.... whereas Conan.... to paraphrase a certain J. Schlansky.. is like a frothy barrell of craft beer.... both immensely talented... both surely candidates for the next Mark Twain prize.... under DEI however....give it to the Redhead . It might help with Sona's naturalisation process. 😅

I adore Conan. I love all of his stories and I don't mind him generally taking over. But I worship Kristen Wiig so I wish he would let her speak more.

I’m not in comedy, but I did tske a sketch class in college. And I wrote a sketch that killed in the room but bombed onstage. Weird that I have something in common with Conan O’Brien.
