And if you watch hiking with Kevin with Conan, you will see that Conan mocks him relentlessly for his conversational skills. This is possibly the most intense, hysterical interview I've ever seen Conan give. I've never seen Conan laugh so hard. Even Kevin was losing it, and he rarely breaks when he does his bits. It all was classic, and fun to watch. So much was going on during interview and comic melee. Conan's expression while watching Kevin try and get a joke out made me laugh even harder till I caught the wheezing of his laughter during the truncated lines Kevin was trying to spew out @ 16:00

I've seen thousands of interviews for decades I think this is the greatest interview of all time! I mean seeing Kevin lose it who normally always keeps a straight face and is so deadpan,, and then his comebacks and then Conan's comebacks,,, it was just pure unscripted hilarity! The way an interview should be if they had more interviews unscripted with actually funny people like this... imagine. But you can only get this with two VERY funny people with great chemistry going back for decades. That's why this is rare. Love when Conan says; "look you're crying....." Kevin in tears; "i'm allergic to you" 🤣

Nealon is one of the wittiest humans ever. So quick. Up there with Norm and Don Rickles and a few others from the past. Comedic genius. Love watching him on shows.

I love Kevins quiet, deadpan delivery. Such a perfect mix with Conan's excitable style.

I enjoy Kevin's style to return questions during interviews, and seamlessly shifting between truth and jokes. I also like the humor of pretending to be serious but then being subtly off in some way when people think there is no joke happening.

I agree with the OP. I’ve seen EVERY piece of Conan content in existence over the years. He bursts into genuine laughter with Burr, Norm, Martin Short & others but I’ve NEVER seen him involuntarily clutch at his heart, lose physical control of his limbs and get arrested to this degree… it is truly special to see him completely surrender in that moment.

the chaos of the conversation is so relatable and organic. i was like watching two best friends argue over the stupidest thing possible as the entire class watches and laughs

"legend of mediocrity" I've never seen Conan laugh that hard and I've been following him for 20 years!

I keep rewatching this since it released like a lot of other fans.. these series of clips are truly something else. I deeply wish Kevin Nealon was a regular guest.

I love seeing the tables turned. It's usually Conan who's the one derailing any serious conversation. To see him put on the other end of it was hilarious.

ive watched this 100 times. this is the most insane interaction ive ever seen. Even Nealon is breaking character, I've never seen him do that.

I was walking through a supermarket while listening to this episode of the podcast on my headphones, and I was struggling so hard for other shoppers not to notice my laugh spasms and my desperate heaving for breath. As I was about to move to the register, this segment began, and I had to keep walking around the aisles for 20 more minutes, because I couldn't go stand in line with all these people so close as surely they would be staring at me, thinking me a lunatic, and I sure as hell couldn't pause the podcast either; it was just too good.

Kevin must have older siblings. He’s a genius at creating a controlled chaos that can only be forged in the mind of a younger sibling determined to get under “their” skin. Loved it!

That torpedo line was such a genius and artistic, beautiful comeback....I still can't get over it

Once every ten years, I find myself laughing so hard that I just can't breathe. Actually, it might be 20 years since the last time. I had no particular regard for Kevin Nealon before this, but this conversation brought me to literal tears.

@@mi5anthrope Do any of you on this thread even know what the word "marketing" means? Conan knows exactly what he is doing when he keeps emphasizing "this is unusable". He is generating even more interest in the episode. If something is considered unsuable on TV, it usually means either technically it was a bad shoot, or it is rife with bloopers. Get it now? It's like having 2 movies to choose from, but the mainstream media is desperately trying to keep you from seeing one of them. A la "Sound of Freedom". Which film are you gonna lean toward watching? Same concept here. Be emphasizing and repeating that this is unusable material, Conan is telling you "this went off the rails. It is crazy". This makes you want to watch it even more--again and again. Read the comments here that say "my 15th, 20th, 50th time watching this", then come back here and tell me how right I was.

This is the best verbal tennis match I’ve ever witnessed. Conan and Kevin, thank you for your verbal agility.

Have you seen Kevin Nealon's channel where he goes for a hike with Conan? It's just as messy and unpredictable and hilarious as this. They did so much, it's even in two parts.

18:32 "Oh, out of how many?" is gonna send me every time 😭

This is the absolute funniest interview I've ever watched. It's maniacally funny. I'm injured by how funny this is.

I just keep coming back to this like I did as a kid putting on his favorite comedy album. This will last for decades.

This is legit the hardest I've ever seen Conan laugh. None of the great guests (and there are MANY) had ever seemed to make conan's eyebrows go up like the Joker and his face turn a whole new shade of pink

Oh my God I haven’t laughed this hard in ages. The tennis rally of comedic banter between these two was hilarious. Thank you for this 😂

This was one of my favorite episodes. I knew Nealon was quick but he is on another level to get the entire room to be laughing. Their chemistry is fantastic!

Kevin is my most favourite guest of Conan all time, every format. His comedic ability is just unmatched

Kevin is great, but Norm Macdonald was always fantastic on his show as well. I don't understand why they don't include the video on the podcast on Spotify though. Joe Rogan does. Oh well, maybe it is paid content.

Just saw this. Oh man, I had to reach for a tissue and hold onto it halfway through-I was crying laughing and everyone was asleep, so I was trying to be quiet about it with my headphones on!! This is so funny it should almost be illegal!!! Gosh, I need more of these guys in my life.

I was listening to the podcast on headphones and had to leave the store I was in due to the tears of laughter listening to this episode with Kevin. Absolute gold.

Conan & Kevin need a monthly podcast. I’ve listened to the first episode 5-6 times, and this one twice already. They’re so funny and genuine. Perfect dynamic. The kind of chemistry you can’t manufacture no matter what.

I don't think I've ever seen Conan's face contort like that lol. This was hysterical.

The whole podcast is amazing. They are both bickering and turning things around on each other the whole time. One of the funniest podcasts episodes I've ever heard.

I love this interview so much. Its hilarious and you can actually see the genuine friendship between the two

This is comedy GOLD! The most humble host brings on the best subversive guest and both are trying to make the other one break. I want more!

Humble?

Everytime I'm sad or having a bad day, I rewatch this episode.

For people like Kevin and Conan, a conversation is like a game of chess. A competition, and the winner is the person who controls the conversation through humor. Conan usually easily wins, but not against Kevin.

No it's not, you got it all wrong, for Conan a conversation is about connecting and sharing a good moment, not so for Nealon

Rewatching for the 12th time and I'm still laughing out loud...

Conan is a national treasure. I just realized that he’s the best talk show host of all time. He’s so likable.

Agreed. I love Conan. He's his own thing. None of the other late night guys have anything on him.

I almost forgot how absolutely hilarious kevin is, and conan also when he doesnt have to be television friendly.

whenever im feeling depressed or anxious - I watch this exchange. Just pure joy.

I'm from Europe, I know Conan but Kevin Nealon is a complete unknown to me, and he's awesome. Funny as hell. Will now go look at everything I can on KZread with this guy.
