Conan is just doing wherever the he wants with his platform at this point and i LOVE IT. Now we just need more "Behind the Nonsense" content.

13:45 I was shocked to learn that Kevin Nealon is able to drink from a straw with no complications. Not just any straw, but a metal straw. I'd been bamboozled. What an actor! You guys (and gals) (and girly men) are great! This was a lot of fun. Funny you mention it, I had Pee Wee's Big Adventure vibes and style in my mind. That came through.

Kevin immediately tries to run it off the rails with his visual bits and also his audible bits.

This script is so cerebral, the jokes are so visual and quick it's hard to picture it in live-action but it would've made a brilliant animated film.

No,no,no. What makes it funny is that it's live action. A cartoon automatically suspends an enormous amount of disbelief. It's way funnier to imagine this thing happening in reality because of the absurdity of it.

Gnawing on a large ham is 1000% a Conan contribution to the script.

This is incredible!!! Somehow it wouldn’t surprise me if Arnold really showed up at the podcast to read his part.

As a blue collar working man this is the only chance i got to sit in the reading of a script.. With legends no less..

Im 32. I never knew about Hans and Frans until today. I checked out the old skits on youtube and now I want to PUMP *CLAP* YOU UP.

My hope is that Arnie himself turns up in Episode 2. Also, that Roger Ebert gag is amazing.

I remember DYING when Phil Hartman came out as Helmut on the show .... There was just something so hilarious to me about his delivery...RIP

These sketches were such an effective satire of the "hardbody" gym culture of the late 80s. Like many Conan fans, I was a fan of these Carvey/Nealon performances long before I knew of the writing influence. This whole episode underscores the need for more support and equity for writers!

The ebert gag reminds me of that space balls scene where moranis watches the vhs of the movie as its happening to find the rebels. Great stuff

My god, the amount of funny in that room. They could do this for hours and I would watch.

When I woke up and saw this my old ass scream sobbed. This is the greatest gift in the history of ever of all times of all evers.

I could hardly believe it when I got the notification that this podcast had just dropped. Seconds into when Conan announces that he is there with Nealon, Carvey and Smigel I was just flabergasted. That's so funny. I've been gaining weight since quitting smoking 6 months ago. This caught me on a week where I started doing barbell exercises too.

Well, I've already listened to all of this episode and now I'm going to watch all of it.

This is awesome! Truly enjoyed listening to how the Hanz n Franz characters came into existence. Classic stuff. This movie NEEDS to be made, especially since all the players are accessible: Arnold, Rob Lowe, etc. Four of my comedic heroes in this project, and so enjoy hearing them laugh and experiment with the script. Laughing my ass off, for real!

As a kid growing up in the late 80s early 90s i have to say this is such a great thing to watch. All the men at this table had a huge part of giving me the lasting joy of comedy and i think getting the movie in this form is the best way we could have had it. Thank you guys for helping i poor sad kid have some laughter in his life.
