Bill has said in other interviews that he kind of hates when he's asked to do impression after impression (and he kind of joked about that here). I mean, he is now a multiple award winner for acting, writing and directing. But seeing as Conan was a comedy hero of his, he seems totally happy to oblige Conan. Especially for his last week.

I had the same thought about 11 minutes in, like… Conan again? Don’t wanna talk about Barry or any of his other projects, just grill him for impressions? I’m sure Hader wouldn’t turn him down because, like y’all have said, he’s his hero…and he doesn’t want to be a poor guest, but like…c’mon :// Be your own interviewer/talk show host, not Lorne Michaels.
Paul Rudd randomly appearing to troll us for what feels like a final time, not once but twice, is fan service of the highest order, Conan couldn't have ended properly without it.

Robin was always doing his bits. You didn't ask him. You got them whether you wanted them or not. Other actor comedians secretly give the host a bunch of impressions they wanna do, without looking like they come on a program to show off their funny voices, even when that's what they really did. I have a feeling that Bill is somewhere in the middle: He likes being asked, and hosts always ask, because he's just a humble dude with talent who enjoys being a room of people laughing.

I know Bill has said he has a ton of anxiety appearing on shows, even SNL, so doing bits constantly may be in part his way of dealing with that. Plus he and Conan are good friends, and perhaps Bill wanted to be extra funny to really deliver on one of Conan's few remaining shows.
