Well, at least in other games of Final Fantasy, the Blue Mage was the Apex of Mages. You had to be a Master of Black, White and Red Magic to even begin to learn Blue Magic, and Red Magig was almost a Viera excluse Class, since its a Evolution of their other exclusive class. But the MC can get any job they want, so it works

At least a Blue Mage isn't the Mimic class. If the Mimic tries to mimic a spell cast on them, they cast the spell on themselves, because that's what the spell did. (That's a reference to 8-Bit Theater. If you don't know what that is, Google it and enjoy one of the best web comics of the 2000s)

I'm happy with SMN, i can actually pay attention to mechanics. PS: SUCK IT BLACK MAGE!

At some point if you main BLM you just go "1-2-3 1-2-3 Cha-cha-cha" on autopilot... While clearly seeing the mechanic's orange slowly creeping from all the sides around you and be like "Yep, I'm finishing my Despair while falling into the pit. Them the breaks." It is not that you can't pay attention to mechanics... It is just this urge to finish your rotation claimed BLM after BLM.

Flying Sardine is my favorite BLU spell ever. It's very satisfying smacking your enemy with a fish.

i really hope smn stays as it is now, yes its really easy but its finally a damn summoner and now theres room for an actual dot mage

honestly I must either have chosen the best time to start the game or be terrible at SMN because I have been playing SMN since I started and I haven't changed how I play it since I started because I haven't noticed a difference in the playstyle lol

@@supergamer1388 Even beforehand a lot of our dmg was dots. In addition to Nightbloom/Song of Torment, Feather rain and Phantom Flurry were both treated as dots for spell effects.

Honestly learning spells from defeating enemies sounds really fun and I can see how it’d be broken if it’s allowed in boss raids when you can learn the spells that the boss is using to kick your teeth in XD

It's possible to do it, they just didn't want to put in the work to be able to make it work, so they just gave us an overpowered job that can't be used in current content.

I hate that they removed the pets' auto-attack. That little extra DoT was nice. There was no reason to remove it.

Honestly, *when* Blue mage get’s reworked, I hope it becomes the tank mage. That way a full party could go Blue, Black, Red, and White Mages.

I mean, if you go in with a pre-formed you can ignore party roles. Just Aetherial Mimicry a tank, flip on Mighty Guard, and roll.

I legit want a full version of Crap Guide to Blue Mage Spells.

I'm very happy with Summoner since Endwalker. Love the class fantasy of summoning big boomy Primals.

The only time I as a healer will forgive a dps for standing(when they had plenty of time to move) in an aoe is if they are a black mage who is currently standing in their ley lines.

I cant remember BLM to be that bad for leveling... I mean, you two-shot every enemy in open world, so if FATEs are your thing inbetween dungeon spams, go ahead. And standing-still... honestly, its good for your psychie, after all: its such a fast-paced world we live in today, its good to play a job that forces you to relax and STAND STILL, if only for the duration of the cast XD

Leveling wasn't too bad, but learning a new rotation every 10 levels while most other jobs just add an extra button or two was definitely an experience. And then there are the madlads who willfully go into roulettes and let RNG decide what rotation they'll be using.

I be honest, I still favour BLM over the other Caster because of has an high Learning Curve. You can see and feel getting better with this Job even if it should only be by 1% more Damage

Blue Mage makes me pray to whatever god is out there that we never get Mimic as a Job

Personally, I think Blue Mage is good where it stands, BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT... I'd love it if SE replaced the 4 separate spell loadouts with one fully customizable loadout and three pre-builds that operate like any other class, allowing Blue mage to queue up normally, making an alternate 'unlimited'/limited leveling path. You still have to go and learn those primal spells (and any that aren't in the prebuilds,) but still leaving BLU at its core relatively untouched. I'd also love it if instead of job stones, Blue Mage used weapon variants to determine its role stance (for instance, a canesword/canedagger if tanking.)

he down play BLU too much, while it can be one of your main source of get more gil in this game just from solo treasure map, also now it can be use to farm gem who will ever use other job to do it anymore, an ability to speedrun moogle tomes event just a side effect

Is it the last though? Off the top of my head, he could do crap guides for the sub-jobs like cook, armorer, potion making, etc. Or guides to the dungeons, or bosses. Sarcasm works to teach anything really, ask any stand-up comedian for life lessons and you'll learn as much as you laugh.

Let's be honest the reason summoners got so many reworks is because for some reason square is hell bent on not having a pet class but it's final fantasy so it has to have summoning magic.

just use rescue on black mage and make him cry :D

I had that happen to me last night. Queued into a Paradigm's Breach and the black mage flipped shit on the last boss because the healer dared Rescue him out of an attack that would have killed him. He died after the transition and just AFK-pouted the rest of the fight. I like black mage. I *hate* black mage players.

@@mattstanford9673 I had this happen in a dungeon while healing, but instead of AFK pouting when the boss killed him, I told him he can go back to the start. Gigachad that he was, he said "That's fair." and afterwards we worked together a bit more. Still on my friends list to this day.
