    Fabulous dialogue. Have you ever had Bill Browder on? It would be interesting for a further discussion of Krill. It was mentioned that he’s probably a KGB / FSB agent, yet mainly he is a very wealthy and corrupt money launderer for Putin’s criminal mob syndicate. And Putin does not fear NATO, his favorite sound bite. His largest fear in life is that nobody could protect him were he to ever step down from power, and secondly how to protect his stolen funds for his family. A full 2 Billion was found already in South America being illegally hidden by his children. His first public reaction was to blame it on a U.S. conspiracy. But he spouted off too quickly, and the following day it was revealed that the funds stolen from the Russian economy were uncovered by a European journalistic corporation. The mistake that Obama Administration made was allowing Putin to deposit Russian State monies in our U.S. Federal Reserve Bank. State funds which sanctions were not allowed to touch in 2014.

Often many books behind them - though Jonathan did blur the background with some half baked AI. Like you said, their knowledge and analysis matters! ;)

    Thank you for a great video. I grew up in Denmark during the Cold War. We got a lot of East Germans who flew from east Germany. They came over the Baltic in many imaginary boats. Denmark placed a weather ship in the Baltic just close to the East German broader, so they could assist people and pull them out of the water. At that time it was all very skilled and educated people who came. They didn’t have a chance to change anything at home, but they wouldn’t live under these conditions either. I think we will se exactly that with Russia today they will loose good and very skilled people to Europe and the US. We in Europe should take these people in and protect them.

    It has been happening since the start of full-scale war, in a few waves and a constant trickle of brain-drain. The second wave upon first mobilization brought some less educated people, some of them supporting their regime, just afraid of being drafted. Some Kremlin agents infiltrated among them as shown by many arrests of saboteurs all across "the west". I agree we should take them in, but some precautions and regulations should be put in place, some little control and education is necessary, from administrations to secret services. I suggest to look for examples in contries with most experience with Russian immigration and refugees for a long time. Like Baltic states, which while being increasingly strict with entrance criteria, from the very start of the war implemented requirement for a statement from everyone coming from Russia to declare that they don't support Kremlin's regime and condone the war. It might seem trivial and superficial, but gives some leverage legally and politically if any group decides to organise pro-Putin demonstrations and other disturbances as has happened for decades here. Just a little control and vigilance is necessary, despite many Russians (especially opposition journalists and online activists like Konstantin) doing a great job and are probably Russia's best hope for future, with or without their very country.

    That is already happening. 97% of Russians who live in Serbia and Montenegro are against Putin according to the official Russian election results. Most of them are young and educated. The percentage is some other countries is a bit smaller but anyway vast majority of emigrants are against Putin and war in Ukraine.

  • @noname-ll2vk

    @noname-ll2vk

    This has already happened. Most people smart and with enough resources have left. Putin said good riddance. That's typical for authoritarians who don't understand true wealth comes from your people. But Muscovy empire is the same raw materials export based economy it's always been, suffering same dilemma as all petro states run by a dictatorship. And creating conditions for the same collapse that for some reason Russians don't seems to notice as a repeating pattern. Though the USSR chapter was less so because they didn't allow emigration and so retained more smart skilled people. Dictators don't like strong military leaders or smart people because they pose a risk to their personal corruption and power. As Konstantin explains well.

    You (and probably mr. Fink himself) are doing this job so good, that if i miss just half an hour i don't see the bot-attack in action anymore. It's a stark and welcome contrast to bigger official chanells with any content related to Ukraine, Russia, Georgia or similar. Very friendly and therefore nearly boring comment section, but beats the garbage dump that kremlinbots make of other comment sections (like under every news outlet and daily Ukraine updates chanell). Reportimg is my passtime since the start of invasion too, when i have time, but it's become very inefficient because YT doesn't take notice and rather delete my detailed, unoffensive coments and rebuttals of autocrat disinformation comments while leaving up just the disinformation. I think YT is seriously compromised (i even think infiltrated) without chanells doing moderation themselves.

    Konstantin presents the most reliable view of Russia because he understands the context and the small indicators of change as well as the larger ones. Should be compulsory for every Intelligence Agency that has a interest. Putin is now playing an end-game that history suggests is part of an unstoppable cycle.

    Its funny how British propaganda has an absolute tool on its program. This guy is nothing but a traitor who for 2 years predicted Russian economic collapse and Russian military defeat. But here you are the British stooges believing this guy is smart and he knows everything..he knows absolutely nothing

    Absolutely fascinating! Jonathon and Konstantin together, my two favorite russianologists, discussing the Byzantine workings of power beneath the carpet, behind the curtain. Truth is stranger than fiction, it’s better than the most convoluted russian novel with assassinations, coups and violent power plays every few days. If only RU would stop bombing Ukraine and escalate the Night of the Long Knives in the Kremlin.

    The move to replace Shoigu is probably a move purely to deflate the second most influential position!!! The new Minister will take time to build the level of influence and reach accumulated by Shoigu!!! THAT JUST DOES NOT MEAN that Shoigu had any plans!!!

    Yes, I think this is a move because of paranoia- to protect the ‘throne’. Not an appointment because of corruption or competence.

    Thank you Jonathan ❤ Love to all ❤ Everyone who has consistently been providing us with reliable information for such a long time are putting a lot of pressure on themselves. This of course includes you Jonathan. We are of course extremely grateful and have come to rely on you on you all. Andrew's team's work is equally indispensable and can only be sustained as long as we can provide incentive, in addition to the reward of gathering and transmitting valuable data to track the progression of the war. Much love to all of our Legends, who allow us a clear window into the events in Ukraine. Their victories, stuggles and the horror which we must not shrink away from. Slava Legends, Slava Ukraini, Heroyam Slava ❤ 🇺🇦 🔱✊️🤝🙏✌️🫂

    Hi Konstantinos, I really enjoy your channel. I would like to add a point for your consideration. The new defence minister has not been appointed for his knowledge of military matters he has been appointed for his ability an administrator unfortunately something have said he is good at. History tells us this is a smart move. Britten did it with Doctor Johnson et al and the corrupt Government of Charles the 1st and in WW2 when the Air Mistary was taken over by industrialists without this Britten would not have had sufficient aircraft to fight Hitler. Please keep up your good work. Cheers Ted.
