Konstantin Samoilov -

Production in the military-industrial complex is squeezing money out of the civilian economy. How much longer can Putin keep burning money, resources and people on a project that is neither creating sustainable wealth for citizens, nor substantial successes in Ukraine.
Russia's economic growth relies heavily on state-funded arms and ammunition production and masks a multitude of problems, including poor living standards and rampant inflation. Vladimir Putin claims the economy is developing, and will continue to flourish. He claims Russia can transition away from the West amid sanctions imposed over the Ukraine war, but reality may be far more messy and painful.
Russia-based economists say the economy is showing signs of overheating as Moscow ploughs on with what it calls the "special military operation", and that for all the current optimism, stagnation or recession now looms. "If a defence company builds a missile or a shell, they explode somewhere and GDP grows," said economist Sergei Khestanov. "But the civilian economy receives very little benefit from this process." Russia is pumping the economy with one-time, unproductive investments that yield limited future benefit.

@@barrybrodin7085in terms of devastation yes. But Ukrainians are free people. And as someone who lived through an imposed communism regime I can tell you that that's incredibly important. Russians are now living in a totalitarian state. Their economy is crumbling. They are isolated from the world. Half a million Russians have died in this war. It's a terrible situation to be in. I truly believe most of them hate what's happening in their country and hate this war with Ukraine. Unfortunately Putin doesn't care what Russian people want. I don't think enough media attention has been focused on young Russians like the singer Pussy Galore and her very outspoken views inside Russia. She refuses to leave even after being imprisoned for two years for speaking out. They are the real Russian heroes and they are not being talked about.

wanna talk about how they got 2 years for dancing and singing political songs next to the iconostasis of the temple of Christ the Savior and then said sowwy just to get less time in prison ? 😂 they are your heroes, you allow this shite in your western countries don't project in on Russia.

No, bt interrupting the history lesson. Did you watch the interview? Putin was clearly annoyed when Carlson kept trying to steer the topic to the here and now before he was darn well good and ready to get there. They had very obviously conflicting ideas reharding where they wanted that interview to go.

@@horsemumbler1 they didn’t show it much. To show conflicting ideas Tucker could have asked about Putin’s international criminal court indictment. Tucker didn’t do it because he’s a coward, and probably a traitor. The only remotely useful info was watching Tucker’s debrief with Lex. In learned couple of interesting things there, like that Tucker has a friend who lives in Moscow

Konstantin saw a few positives in Tucker Carlson that most in the west did not see, I followed Konstantin's video about the interview. I notice lately Tucker Carlson has expressed questions following on, like he did not understand or "get" the neo-nazi claim. There may be glimmers of hope that cracks will open in Carlson's stance. Or maybe I am being optimistic. I agree that the Russia is going to face economic problems I think 2024 will be a year that Ukraine fights to survive, but 2025 will be the year Russia will be struggling to survive economically. Already the situation regarding export profits from oil will be hitting home..

Tucker will bend just enough to prevent someone from spitting into his dinner at the finer restaurants. No Western person can be as dense as he purports to be on these subjects.
