Hey there Jeff...good review!!! I would like to take a moment here to say, I have been following your videos for a long time...and they always bring a smile to my face, teach me something new, and allow me to share in your pain and concerns in all the craziness out there!!!! So, Happy Holidays to you and your family, and our little buddy under the table!!! John.

Jeff, I bought the ZT 0560 Hinderer Design in Elmax stone washed steel. I bought this almost exactly 1 year ago. This was a Christmas gift to myself. lol. I have carried this knife every day. This is one heck of a knife! I work in the automotive service industry, so you can imagine of what it has been through. This knife holds an edge better than any knife I ever had and it shows little to no wear. Great knife no buyers remorse here.

Great review and well stated! I love mine, still gotta put up a 6 month edc video on mine, likely it'll have been a year of edc by the time I get around to it. I've used mine for prying and food prep and whittling and all sorts of things and it's held up really well.

Had a skinner. Traded it off for a large serrated micarta 21. Liked the knife but really wanted to try a 25 so I sold it and just received my CF 25 and I love it. I now have a CF large insingo 21, small micarta insingo, large plain Jane and the cf 25. I've handled/owned hinder, striders and other high end knives and for me nothing has beaten out my sebenza's. I'll keep trying different stuff out though. Just like you talked about.

Hey there, I don't know if it has been brought up, but there are a few slight errors in your review. The Spanto is the original grind, the spearpoint was actually released last year. The slicer grind is different from both the spearpoint and spanto grinds. And the body screws are actually a 5/64" Hex like a Sebenza uses.

ive got the poverty version hinderer, the cryo II and it actually scratched the itch. my current favorite knives are the pm2, zt 0452, and zt 0450. had a lightning otf then decided id pony up for an ultratech. carried the ultratech for about 6 months and now im into the framelock flippers. i still like waved knives but dont own any currently and dont know which one would make me buy it. the otf phase had its run with me so now i hardly carry it but i wouldnt part with it. for 10 years the spyderco endura was the only knife i was interested in. i like the looks of the manix 2 but i prefer the lock and blade shape of the pm2. i like the spyderco police and spyderco military. the only benchmade i like is the 940. im not willing to try any of these new high end chinese knives. thanks to nick shabazz i really want a grimsmo norseman. id buy 10 ontario rat 2's right now if theyd slim down the handle and put a compression lock on it and offer it in d2. i still want a large sebenza. id like to trade and add cash to get into one but i wont buy one unless i could get it for $300 maybe $350 and sell off some of my other stuff. just gotta do it.

Have you ever bought one of these common man "grail knives" (like $250-$500) that you loved and would keep forever? I have maybe 2 or 3 knives that are almost perfect for me and I would never sell them - but they are not in the over $250 category. My 4 and 5 hundred dollar "grail knife" purchases have all been disappointing.

"I just use the tip" *snicker* Sorry, couldn't help myself. Not sure what is to love about S35VN so much. It's is basically the same as S30V, just easier to machine and polish. There is more benefit to the maker than the end user. I think that it is just a fad steel for the most part. CPM-154 and M390 are two steels that are very popular right now that both have much better edge retention and CPM-154 has been around for ages.

the thing about the price tag is even if I had $400 to spend on knives, I would get 4 knives in the 100 dollar price range. I can completely see the value of semi customs like the hinderer or sebenza or even ckf stuff, but you put it best at the end of the vid: "variety is the spice of life"

Yeah at 450 thats a mid range pistol now a days. Most I've ever spent on a knife was a 7in ka-bar. For a folder, I couldn't justify 450 to cut cardboard and pry staples or any of the other things id use it for and im not one to keep things around just to look at really. Its a nice knife im sure, just not my cup of tea. I couldn't imagine the rage of breaking/scratching and/or losing it.
