Kidney Biopsy - Is My Kidney Already FAILING After 4 Weeks? (A Plan To Stop Rejection)

In this video, I take you along with me to an unplanned visit in hospital. Here, I had to have a kidney biopsy to see if my new kidney was being rejected. I take you through the process of a biopsy and all the procedures that take place when you have to stay in hospital.
I first give a quick recap of what's been happening with my health in the past week and explain why Iv'e been asked to stay in hospital.
Next, I explain what a biopsy procedure is and take you through what happened during my biopsy - talking about how much pain I was in and what I had to do during the procedure.
I then share the results from my biopsy and give further insight to my kidney health and the results show something very concerning!
I finish the video by talking about what the plan is moving forward and highlight my current state of mind.
Hope you enjoy 😊

Thank you sharing this. I’m crying and going crazy because I had 2 biopsy’s in my back for lupus as well and I got my transplant on March 28th and my Creatine was ok but last week it went up to 2 after being in the low ones we feels now all of a sudden it’s a 2. I’m so scared I want to run away. I’m frustrated and I’m fighting so hard but I think I’m getting tired now. I been sick for 20 years and I’m very over this but thank you because I have no idea what to expect with my new kidney having a biopsy. This is heart breaking for me I just want tomorrow to be over….

Hello, how are you? How can we find in lupus, we should kidney transplant ? What your test was taken to confirming your kidney transplant ? What symptoms you suffered before 1 month kidney transplant? And biopsy of kidney, how it is painful? When you recover from pain of kidney biopsy? Is there any risk of biopsy? Thank you

Oh no I'm sorry to here that! My creatinine spiked after 4 weeks and I had to have a biopsy. The procedure doesn't hurt, only when they inject you with local anesthetic to numb the area. You can also request to have the medicine that makes you feel sleepy and relaxed - that's what I used to do but now I'm used to it. Wishing you the best! Let me know how everything goes 💜

At the moment I've been off work sincd my transplant. I work in a primary school so there's no point me going back to work until I'm 100% otherwise I could risk making things worse.
