Kidnapper Tries to Manipulate Interviewer After Teen Victim OUTSMARTS Him | The Elizabeth Shoaf Case

“It was like a vacation for her”
On September 6, 2006, 14 year old Elizabeth Shoaf was kidnapped by a man who claimed to be a police officer. Handcuffed, and “arrested”, she is taken deep into the woods where she discovers a secret underground bunker. For ten days, investigators look everywhere for the missing teen, without any clues, until Elizabeth is able to outsmart her captor, and her mom receives a shocking text message from Elizabeth herself.

Would there be anything wrong if she was smiling out of spite? I would be spiteful after an ordeal like that. Victims don't have to behave like victims. Some of them reveal just how angry and furious they are after fact. Victims have the right to be malicious after such an ordeal as she went through. Spite and manipulation can be used as tools against an individual like this. Manipulating someone into a trap, for example. Which is technically what she did. That doesn't make her any less of a victim. I'm specifically talking this scenario. I'm not talking about women being spiteful and manipulative in *any* circumstances. That would be a green card. If it were me, I'd have said whatever I could to make sure he was locked up for as long as possible, and I wouldn't apologise for being spiteful or smiling or even being malicious in regards to such an individual. In fact, I would be terrible.

There's a special that I watched on Frontline yesterday if you're interested it's called Predator ON THE RESERVATION. A DOCTOR MOLESTED ANYWHERE BETWEEN 3000 AND 600 and because there is a shortage of doctors especially on the reservation for native americans, they kept him and transferred him around from reservation to reservation without telling the next Hospital for fear being sued and they would often give him a good recommendation. They called him a Candyman because on the reservation everybody gets free housing and a lot of young boys would hang around his house and he was a single older doctor and when they looked in his basement they saw over a hundred games over 300 of every single candy along with kids movies and in that Community they're already struggling 30% under the poverty number of regular communities so those kids would be homeless and hungry or just need money and as they got older they will continue to show up at his house and do things. Other doctors at the hospital complained because he would only see young boys and he put a couch in his office but the nurses would see the face on those children coming out of there and knew they have been molested but I'm assuming they were worried about their own jobs and did not report him and a lot of the kids that are older and testify say it why didn't you guys help us we were kids and you knew what was happening. So pleased this monster will never walk this earth a free man again. In the UK, where I'm from, if someone is given a life sentence, this can mean 20 year's and even then, they can be released early for "good behaviour". In America when someone is handed out a life sentence, it's exactly that.

Heck yeah! I absolutely can't stand it when child rapists...or hell ANY rapist...is given like a 10 yeah sentence that they'll probably only serve half of because a lot of judges think that the pedophile registries will be enough to keep that under control and it's absolute bullshit! Instead of handing out so called life sentences that allow for the possibility of parole...where they can pretend to have found Jesus and gotten a free education on manipulating our legal system...the smart judges hand out sentences of several hundred years like this one did, where the 30% mark for trying parole will be close to a hundred years is the best way to do it so they don't get out. And even though I do support the death penalty for capital cases, alot of times it's way better to not sentence them to death because death sentences automatically come with special appeals, as well as flat out having way more appeals. Plus they get bigger cells they don't have to share and their own tvs in their cells cause they don't go in common areas, their own gyms and showers and outdoors areas it's ridiculous. The best way to be certain a sick fuck like this guy dies in prison is to give him a hundred years on each count he is charged with to be served consecutively...so one at a time so 4 counts would be 400 years vs serving them concurrently which would mean 4 counts served at the same time so it would be a hundred years...so consecutively is 400 years so it would be at least a hundred years before he came up for parole, if at all. When a judge wants to really stick it to someone he does exactly what that judge did. And bless him for doing so!

I did something similar to the person who tried to rape me when I was 11, luckily he was not a kidnapper. When he started the abuse I pretended that everything was fine and that I just needed to get something real quick. It worked, I saved myself and he couldn't finish. I did it because he was an adult there was no way I could physically defend myself. I thought about screaming, but I was afraid he would get violent and then I wouldn't stand a chance being small and very fragile. I saved myself, luckily, because later on I found out that no one would have saved me. He was family and people supported him after I tried to report him, even though I was a quiet kid whose only hobby was reading and kept the pets.

In so many of these cases, the perpetrator is freed far too soon and often times with the mentality that they can leave no witness/victim alive to prevent going back to prison. She is directly responsible for his long sentence as she had the bravery to testify in court. She is amazing.

Right? I wish my mother gave a crap me. I lost one of my daughters not long ago and she just used the situation to make money off a personal go fund me account that wasn't used to help my family in any way, then took the money to move from NY where I had been supporting her for 10 years since my dad died even though I was a single mother of 3 and she got 2500 dollars a month for my dad's social security and I allowed her to live in my house rent free then right after my daughter died out of nowhere she just took the money she raised and moved to Texas and couldn't even bother to be there more me emotionally as she left like a week after my daughter died. So yeah I'd give a hell of alot to have had a real mother... At least it taught me how to be a real mother to my kids...even when their dad abandoned us.
