    @@unknownplayer6398 It will give you a little bump. Let down the ski hole(arm rest opening to the trunk) in the back seat if you have one to enhance the Bass.

    I wish there was a clear video on how to install it, don’t really know where to start on the install, and there’s no videos on my specific 2016 Honda Civic

    I couldn’t tell if the bass was tight and punchy or less defined and more rumble. Care to comment? I’ve also seen some install where they remove the backend of the rear seat cup holders to let the bass through more - they said it was close to sounding like the rear seat was down.

    Larry Benigno bass it tight and punchy as it would be coming out of a 10” sub. The sub is in a sealed box so putting it through the arm rest in the back seat would not be as good as firing it back into the trunk as i stated in my video i had it firing into the deck directly into the car before and there was less bass. Think of it as by me firing the sub into the trunk and then the air goes back out behind my sub box through the deck that ive basically made my enclosure into a bandpass box. Hope this helps. And no my trunk doesnt rattle bc its just a 10” sub with 100 watts and the air is escaping behind the sub box into the cab as if the subwoofer hole i made in the deck you could say would be the bandpass port putting the air in my cab.

    Nice video! I have the same vehicle. Do you have to connect the remote cable (blue) and if so where? Also did you have to disconnect the "ANC" (active noise cancelling). Thanks. I plan on doing this very soon.

    Angel Cornejo the blue remote wire i bought an add a circuit for and took a test light that i got from walmart for $5 and just checked the fuses key on and off till i found one that only had power key on and that was atleast a 10a fuse. Yes i unplugged the active noise cancel behind the center pocket. It was very easy to get to and unplug. I disconnected it bc it would hum when the radio was low volume and when it was turned off. With it disconnected there is no more hum.

    on aftermarket headunits u can control the volume of the subwoofers how are u able to do this with the factory headunit that doesn't have the subwoofer option

    this subwoofer came with a bass boost knob that you can adjust it with. i put mine in my center console. with stock headhunits you always use some of the bass settings in conjunction with the bass boost knob to adjust it in so there in no distortion when at your desired volume.

    Does it distort? I mean any mechanical excursion noises? Please tell me how to adjust the 'gain' in accordance to the volume of the Head unit. Thanks in advance.

    Bomma Reddy Brijendra Reddy no distortion, sounds great, i have it wired to the rear speakers(both) turn the head unit up to the volume preffered, lower bass on head unit, adjust bass on subwoofer box along with crossover,gain and boost. I put the bass boost knob in center console but i rarely use it, with it set up like this there should be clean loud bass.

    does it sound better with it mounted up on the trunk like that? how did you do that

  • @reesechris76

    @reesechris76

    6 жыл бұрын

    It sounds the same as if it was mounted on the floor facing the back of the car. The main thing is using the trunk space as an enclosure. I had it firing directly through the deck before but it was only about 1/2 as loud as it is this way. You ask how i mounted it. Well i cut out the factory oem sub location with a dremel. Then i used the existing holes that are in the metal portion of the deck and i put a washer on a screw and went from inside the vehicle into the trunk. I then added another washer in trunk area and had copper 1inch spacers that i painted black. Pushed up on box while installing and whala!!! Hope this helped.

    I dont own the car anymore but I believe it was to tap into both rear speakers to have the subwoofer pick up bass from stereo and not just the right or left channel.

    I wondered the same thing at first (I have this unit in 2012 honda crosstour) from the research I did... it would seem that if you were to use the fade left/right on the head unit then by having them both running you would always get audio to the sub - versus, for example you were to fade all audio to the right- if you only tapped the left speaker then your sub would be mute until you centered the head unit fade. **As a side effect it also distributes the *very slight* lowering of output from the speakers being tapped into. -So if you only tapped the left then whatever left speaker, front or back, would be slightly lower volume, causing a tiny misalighnment of sound, but by tapping both it keeps the decrease in volume from tapped speakers both equal and lesser (because the lowering of output is shared between the two instead of being taken from just one.) Hope that makes sense.
