Unfortunately the engine on this has been substantially modified and even the Transmission is from a later car. The original two liter has no low end torque and the car has to be really wrung out to get the full potential of the it. There is a lot of misty eyed nostalgia for this car when in standard form most would likely find it to be a completely unpleasant driving experience. The mods this owner have made make it more of the car kid's lusted after in video games. Kudos to the original racers who drove these into people's imaginations.

Same thing I hear all millennials say about classic Japanese performance cars. It's so loud, the steering is heavy, I have to push on the peddle to make the brakes work, I feel everything, Waaaah! It's a real car, so Man Up and drive it you sissy.

@ I'm 16 and I wish own a loud Hakosuka and a 240Z with a L28 or the CELICA SUPRA and a RX3 Savannah I love the cars since I was 6 don't listen those kids they are non-car guys they can say a modern car its better than a classic because they don't understand the car culture we love my Grandfather drives every weekend a 240Z L26 since 1971 and the loud sound its beautiful my favorite modifications are the ITB's setups makes a raw sound the old cars were more reliable and full of history today all cars are electrodomestics with wheels full of electronic issues I won't drive a model year up to 2004 speaking as the owner of a Mazda miata 1996 hardtop 5 speed manual with a ITB's setup P.D N/A engines Raw sound forever

Most of the hakosuka gtr you see are clones. A good clone is around $80k. A real one is closer to $200k. If you drove a real one you would probably be disappointed. The clones with 250-300hp are the fun cars.
