    I really love that fish tent. All the planted nano tanks and all the other plants placed wherever there was space created such a peaceful looking enviroment. A slice of nature indoors... Sorry to see it go, but excited to know it will all be upgraded into the fish shed. I'm really excited to see what she creates in there. Judging from the fish tent, I'm expecting a lot. Lol. No pressure! I think she said everything is getting upgraded to 10 gallons, but I hope at least a couple of those eclectic nano setups make it into the shed. I think they added a little something to the charm of the tent... ALL the bettas were beautiful. Great choices. Great work on the camera, Mr. Steenfott! It could not have been easy getting the footage in a tight space. If we're laying down bets, my bet is that a year from now she will have somehow gotten tanks in the rafters. Lol.

    Thank you very much! You hit the nail on the head for the feeling and vibe I was going for in there. And most definitely will be incorporating that in to the shed, as this is what the hobby is for me. My favorite of the nanos will most definitely be integrated in to the shed, however looking for the largest in water volume and swimming width vs. depth, and will scape those up a bit more! And as for the rafters, tanks are not planned but let's just say they will be alive 😉

    If you guys post a video on the completed shed, I'd love to see how you went about insulating and heating the shed. I'd love to have all my fish in the garage but I dont know if heating the garage would cost more or less than running all the individual heaters in my house. We get some very low temps in the winter.

  • @danidoeslife2290

    @danidoeslife2290

    3 жыл бұрын

    I'm sure we could include some of that. Insulation is 3in Rigid foam installed between the roof rafters and sealed with caulking, the walls already had standard pink Insulation behind the OSB walls. As for heating, I really couldn't tell you the cost difference, but for me the efficiency/simplicity of heating the space vs. Each tank is the draw for me. Don't have to worry about tank heaters breaking and cooking fish, don't need as many outlets. I just make sure I seal it up and Insulate as much as possible, and it's definitely holding more heat.

Neither are installed, have heat, or water. Both have power with the garage having a fuse box and outlets at eye level around the room. The shed is about the size of yours it looks like. This all being said I live in Maryland and it can get very cold in winter and hot in summer. I want to turn one of them into a fish room.
