But first of all Prince didnt like him after he realised that justin was such a fake...and also for the way he uses black culture (nothing wrong with him doing rnb) but he doesnt support blacks when we are struggling.. @@hotchocolate8320 yeah but he sacrificed part of his performance just to play princes song in princes home town. also even though they weren't on good terms, J.T showed respect to prince not as a human, but as an artist. he acknowledged the fact that such a legend has passed and did a small tribute. oh and the whole hologram thing yeah i know, but that wasn't a hologram, that was a clip.

@ANIME world i think you missed my point. I was just saying that the super bowl halftime required a lot of energy from JT in this one, and it was very impressive considering he had to do it solo. I liked the collaboration on the 2022 show too. Although, you didn't mention Kendrick who did the best in my opinion with the catchiest song along with Eminem and 50 cent.

this Superbowl halftime show is super lit. The way the songs get together, the singing, the choreography and the scene are amazing!! JT is a great artist

It's disturbing the amount of people who don't know the difference between a hologram and a projection. He literally sang along to a scene from Purple Rain. And lit the city up Purple! That's nothing but respect. Death changes things and Justin is in his mid 30's. Can't perform a show like that in Minneapolis and not honor The Purple One.

Exactly! Still rings true 3 years later. Let me reiterate...no artist can perform in Minneapolis the year after the death of the Prince and not honor him in some kind of fashion. Period. And when I saw how they lit the city up purple I got chills. It was a wonderfully delightful way to honor the Man, They Myth, the Legend...the artist formerly known as Prince.

This performance is wonderful, especially compared to 2019's. Justin looks like he's genuinely having fun with this performance. The Prince tribute was amazing as well, because I know his death hit the people hard. What's wonderful as well is that he utilized LOCAL high schools for this performance! My schools dance team took part in this performance, and they had such a positive experience doing this. This is amazing, thank you for bringing such a wonderful performance to Minnesota!

This show is awesome. JT doesn’t sing much but when he does he’s actually on key. The dance choreography is on point, and wow, actual instruments.

It’s as if people expected him to shatter the earth with his performance. He performed on a huge field for a huge crowd. A performance like this takes a lot of energy. I love his music enough to relax, jam out, and enjoy it without being overly critical.

I think Justin is a fantastic performer, even more so when he’s not running around, singing, and dancing on a professional sized football field and on huge bleachers, which if I recall correctly, neither of those performers you mentioned did...

See gaga last year, she worked the stage, sang live, and danced, and she had a genuine moment with someone in the crowd, not a cringy "Superbowl selfie". She commanded the stage, Justin is just the type of crusty lil boy who is used to people swooning for him even when he puts forth minimum effort , and he proved that again with this sloppy underwhelming halftime show. If you like to applaud mediocracy that's fine just don't look all confused when no one else is going ape5hit with you.

Reminiscing about how much we loved this Super Bowl performance by Justin Timberlake! He made it like a collage! The happiness and joy he brings to his performances are infectious! Combined with those rocking dance moves and the Super Bowl Selfies interaction and comment was sweet and seamless! PLUS that AMAZING TRIBUTE TO ONE AND ONLY PRINCE! He is so missed. Wow. That was really touching and very well done. Much love to all!

And also he was warned by Prince's family about hologram. 3) he sang the song about how he would've died for prince.

Why was this ever considered the worst? He put on a show, actually sang well, did a tribute to Prince, and danced. This is a damn good show and not just compared to Maroon 5.

Justin Timberlake has performed more times at the super bowl than anybody else. That's some kind of record. And thank you for the touching tribute to Prince.

Great energy level and dance. But where was the "vocal"? When Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Bruno Mars were dancing and singing, you could still hear a lot of their vocal. I could barely hear JT"s singing--which was further overpowered by the background vocals and soundtracks.

Because he doesn't lip sync his performance like all the others do, which is why he's a performer in the truest sense of the word. Think about it. You're trying to tell me that all the other pop artists out there can run around all over the place while dancing, and also being able to sing pitch perfect at full volume? Here's an expirement for you to try: Try to run around for half an hour and dance, while singing pitch perfect at full volume at the same time. I guarantee you, that you won't be able to pull it off for even a minute...

Most of the time I’ve noticed the hate either comes from it being boring or cringe. I don’t remember watching the 2018 halftime show or seeing reactions to it. Seeing it now for the first time...it’s pretty decent honestly. The 2019 halftime show on the other hand deserves all hate coming it’s way. It was absolutely awful.

Fuuton JT is probably the epitome og Superbowl material. It is an easy listen (his new album not included), it is light-spirited and he is an entertainer that can get a crowd into a dancing mood. That is just what you want for a 15 minutes half-time show.

The first song "Filthy" actually sounds like that on the record. the backing track is way too high in volume. I turn it off when it comes on the radio bc it just sounds like noise. I still dont know what hes singing about

Idk how anyone can hate on this show. He was dancing running around singing interacting with the fans. I honestly think it's one of the best halftime shows I've seen. I was also there supporting my City that won so it definitely hits different

He danced, sang and just showed people something enjoyable. Nothing bad in this show. I fully enjoyed this performance.

I didn't like the start of the performance but I loved the rest of the show! It was a great setlist and I love how Justin paid tribute to Prince, Prince didn't like people covering his work so Justin singing along to his voice and being respectful was perfect. Overall a great job, don't know why people are complaining tbh.
