Shout out to the FG kickers on both teams, nailing multiple 50+ yard clutch kicks in the game!! Both kickers combined 7-7 on FG kicks!

same. my dad was born in 1955, so he was 15 win the Chiefs had won or appeared in their Super Bowl (before 2020). i didn’t get to watch the game with him that year, but there’s a video of him screaming and crying with my mom asking if he’s okay from that one. it’s gone on to become a bit of a meme in my friend group since then. luckily, i’ve got to watch 2 more wins with him. we haven’t bonded over much since i’ve turned 12 (i’m 23 now), so it’s nice to be able to enjoy these moments with him more recently.

Mahomes-esque. Brady got the win when it was tied, but he never led a winning drive in the SB when it wasn’t tied. Obviously not taking away from Brady, but it’s a neat caveat. Brady led walkoff field goals against the rams, panthers and a walkoff TD against the Falcons, and then just beat the eagles (04), Rams (second time) and KC in a blowout. This final drive was different in the coolest way.

True football fans appreciate all aspects of the game. One thing that few people have mentioned is how good the punters Mitch Wisnowsky and Tommy Townsend were in this game. They tied for the longest punting average for the game at 50.8 yards in Super Bowl history. Each one punted the ball five times for a total of 254 yards a piece. Great job!

I’m a Niner fan and this will haunt me forever. I was born in 2012 and I’m 0-3 in the Super Bowl in my lifetime. From the garoppolo game losing pick and overthrow, to the Patrick Mahomes to Hardman TD. I will never forget this. It will always haunt me.
