I just watched this halftime show for the first time for the same reason and can't believe that people didn't like it either, because it's absolutely amazing and The Weeknd can sing! I realise that people have different tastes, but they could at least appreciate the effort involved. I'm also aware that many of them criticise anything and enjoy upsetting others. 😊

it's also worth mentioning he was given the worst year with so many restrictions compared to everyone else. Last 3 years were good only because of nostalgia this HT however was done by a modern artist with no guests too. I guess weeknd's HT is so unique it stands out.

People may not have enjoyed this performance but this is hands down Abel’s most legendary and best performances of all time with strong raw vocals and pure gold talent.

the fact that he went from being a young person suffering with drug addiction in the rough parts of toronto to putting on shows of this calibre at the superbowl never fails to give me chills. it’s a reminder that no matter how hard life can get, it can always get better

There is a reason people rise to fame out of nowhere. And it's not because he can sing. Gee, I mean no offence to him but my 5 year old can hold keys and hit notes better than that. This is so autotuned it hurts my ears. Literally MINIMAL talent but a huge icon around the world. I was educated about the devil being known for his music and light through my christian Family. I mean this half time perfomance pretty much throws it in everyone's face 🙄

His song blinding lights was the biggest song of 2020 and is still going strong and has become the biggest chart hit of the century.. He got awards for best artist best album and best song of 2020 by american music awards(AMA) and even accepted by the public.... But the grammies are blind.. The rumor is that they didnt give him a single nomination coz he chose to perform at superbowl rether than the grammies...even justin's yummy got a nomination, i think for the best pop song... Also his album changes was nominated.. Not a hater of justin.. I like him but yummy does not deserve that nomination

it makes no sense to me. The Weeknd also has done some songs with Lana Del Rey and the Grammys don't care about her either. They are both musical geniuses IMO. This deserves a lot of credit for how hard it was to make this work with coronavirus restrictions, they had to be a lot more inventive.

Loved this one, should definitely be listed as one of the best half times shows. Was an actual show with live singing, can never down that.

2011: Homeless, broke 2021: Super Bowl Halftime Show 10 years in the making. Abel has really come a long way. The Weeknd deserves the world!
