Just got my solid silver neck. Thoughts and original neck comparison.

A comparison of the original Keilwerth neck and a solid silver Keilwerth neck. Both are very good. The original has a dry direct tone whereas the silver has a thicker core and a bit more of a higher frequency in the tone giving it more edge and that sways it to my preference between the two.

I hear the difference but I wonder how much is about it just being a different neck rather than the material. Ii have been thinking about replacing my AW010 neck for a AKZ3 (Yanagisawas latest alternative offerings). But anyway the difference I heard on your video went in the right direction for me with the silver neck. Thank you for sharing.

I agree about the neck design rather than the material but I do know it probably resonates or vibrates in a different way than brass. Either way it is a nice neck with a different tonal colour. About your sax and another neck maybe try a few if possible and see what suits you.
Did you find the rest of the body of that saxophone? LOL. Both superb sound ...
Would that be the neck of the discontinued solid nickel silver Keilwerth saxophone SX90R?

I'm not sure exactly, I got it from a UK dealer who said it was a silver after market neck for an SX90R.
