Farnsey could stand on his head and juggle 4 bowling pins and still hit every note with the same accuracy! His signature song and the one that really launched his career is You’re the Voice- I’d recommend the version from this same concert. ❤️

Legit lucky you.....that was one hell of a concert

Notice voice doesn’t change while he’s bent over shaking hands with the audience? How many singers can maintain PERFECT vocal control with their diaphragm doubled over?

Another huge hit for John, actually all his songs were and so iconic. We just love him here. He is recovering from surgery for cancer which was successful but he will never sing again which is sad. Love your reactions.

​@Texas_Love IF you've noticed towards the end of that video a young woman ( but then could have been not too younger than adulthood } ran up on stage & hugged Mr John Farnham , which Farnsy gave a kiss on the cheek to for her efforts before she was rushed off stage by security while she was running back to her seat 💺. Some may say that counts as John Farnham committing infidelity in that moment BUT he's a VERY faithful , loving family man . He only has feelings for his wife Jill who he met while they were young working in Melbourne Australia in the musical " Pipin " . You can find in other performance videos he's done with other female singers like Kylie Minogue and Olivia Newton John where he shows affection towards them BUT he's never had any romance with them . ♑️✍️🇸🇯🇦🇺

Johns voice is incredible . Freddy Mercury said he was one of the best singers he had ever heard , Tom Jones said he had the best live voice he had heard to so you cant get much higher praise . Johns version of Black dog ,then all the way around to Touch of paradise and his duet with Olivia Newton John , Please dont ask me , shows just how diverse he can be . If you like fast stepping workout songs have a look for the Divinyls ,All the boys. That will get you pumping.

It just goes to show how powerful Johns voice is. His voice rises above everything else that going on in this video.

If you would like to see another side of John try Love’s in Need or Please Don’t Ask Me with Olivia Newton John or Angels that he sings with back up singer Lisa Edwards. There is also his comedy opera song called Granada with Anthony Warlow. The list is endless. I will appreciate any that you react to.

So much energy. I've always been amazed how he can sing with such power, bending over jumping up and down, tossing mike stands across the stage and into the air and never missing a beat... perfect. David Hershfelder on the Keytar. Was also the musical director for this whole concert. He put together the arrangements for the orchestra as well. He had been with John since 1982 in Little River Band times so he knew exactly how John worked to be able to bring this all together. He is a brilliant and multi award winning musical score writer now ...some movies like Australia with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, Shine with Geoffrey Rush, Water Diviner with Russell Crowe...the Dressmaker with Kate Winsley. You will begin to see why John's concerts and albums where so good. The talent he had on his team became some of the best Australia ever had. I'd like to think John had something to do with getting them there. David moved on in the 90's and Chong Lim took over. JOHN Apparently is one of the nicest men to work for. For the majority of his team to stay with him for over 30-40 years says a lot. You need to check out something from another concert next Maybe Chain Reaction from the Chain Reaction Concert. Another high energy performance which no doubt will end up on your workout playlist 😜

The guitarist plays the keytar with his face(!) in It's a Long Way to the Top (if you wanna rock'n'roll), my favourite from the same concert. You would love it.

Farnham is one of Australia's favorite Britons.

The keyboard instrument is a keytar. I'm always amazed that John can be running, jumping or folded in half trying to reach people and still hit notes with power and sustain the volume & control. Amazing. In the same concert the MSO has a lot of fun duelling with the band for "It's a Long Way to the Top if You Wan't to Rock & Roll", you look like you're a natural smiler.

We need more key-tar in our lives!!😂 Such energy in this one!

thats David Hirschfelder you see on that little Keytar. I think he was primarily the one responsible for Composing the orchestra's involvement. He did tonnes of Movie Scores over the years as well for lots of well known movies. He later left to focus on movies, series and TV advertisments. He was replaced by the equally talented and gifted Keyboardist and Composer, Chong Lim who still worked with john till his last concert and gigs.

It's a TOTAL movie montage song - you hit the nail on the head with that description. Watching your eyes dart back and forth taking it all in was fun to see - there's so much going on in this one. My favourite part in this performance (besides John of course) is when the conductor spins in a circle with a happy grin on his face. Everyone was feeling it big time :D

Texas, it’s funny, it doesn’t seem like 80s to me, like old stuff. To me and maybe others it’s just our John 💞

Everybody on stage and in that audience is having a good time, this is motivational this song and you can't help the deal the mood in this song.

We our so proud to call John our own. The country was crushed to hear of his recent cancer diagnosis. His subsequent surgery which thankfully was a success but we are saddened to know that he’ll probably never sing again 😢 This song was one of his biggest hits when he joined the Little River Band

I think you'd appreciate John's performance with one of his back-up singers, Lisa Edwards [who had a career in her own right], it shows his sense of humour. He tries to put her off her game [an inside joke], he tries so hard to make her laugh before they start. The best of the best I love this song , and while he's recovering and rehab at home he needs to remember the name of this song, after his surgery this is a very empowering title to apply to his health at the moment.

John did a concert series with Olivia Newton John and Anthony Warlow (Anthony is an Australian Opera singer who was once the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera) called the Main Event back in the ‘90’s and one of the songs in Granada that John And Anthony duel to. The KZread video is called Anthony Warlow Hi Art. Keep a watch of Anthony’s feet about 1:20 into the video as he moonwalks!!

@@Laraine3 lol, Tai Tuivasa is well known for his walkout songs, like Titanic/Celine Dions "My Heart Will Go On", Spice Girls "Wannabe", Cindy Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", "I'm A Barbie Girl" etc, he doesn't need any "macho" songs like Eye Of The Tiger. He's a crowd pleaser with Aussie sense of humor! search youtube for "Tai Tuivasa walkout"

John penned this anthem whilst fronting Little River Band; story goes he was busting for his big break, he felt it was just within his grasp but noone taking his solo prospects seriously, and this song was a throw-down to the industry and himself that he meant business! it was make-or-break time!

Another great song is John Farnham - Black dog (Led Zeppelin cover). This was John's sound check and warm up song for him and his band. This truely proves that John can sing anything. Keep up the great work

ive had the pleasure of seeing john in concert at least 5 times in Sydney and at this concert in Melbourne and he is this good

It makes me so very happy seeing the smile in your eyes when you watch our beloved John Farnham. I was lucky enough to be the right age to see him with his own band many many years back at a club which was small, and there were tables you sat at with your drink from the bar. And you had to kind of know someone to get in,. He sounded greater than great then and still does in this. But also he was just a lovely guy. Send prayers for his recovery. Happy Christmas x

The song makes perfect sense to his story. John made a start in the 60’s had a few hits and basically lost everything. His manager in the 80’s basically re mortgaged his home to take a chance to get JF back… both had no choice but to make it work…. They did. JF is one of the best Aussie singers of all time and an inspiration to those that are at rock bottom.
