@@wyp8098 incels huh? Hear me out. I can explain why she isn't funny and is actually super narcissistic and doesn't care about the cause, just herself. Like many SJWs whether they know it or not. Some are just brainwashed I get it. Although I'm sure there is some merit to what the friends said. Maybe the stuff she covered is important. Maybe. But when I'm listening to comedy I want jokes not a moral lecture or lessons. Even bill Burr sometimes gives his thoughts but it's done in a funny way where he knows he sounds like the ahole. Still though, I don't like getting preached to and many modern young comedians don't preach. She tells people what the jokes will be about before she tells them. She makes it about herself and how she gets hate and brings up her autism card all the time. I suggest you maybe watch Think Before you Sleep's video on why she's not funny but if you think she's funny then there's no point watching as then she has some merit. But people didn't say she was funny, they said it was "important". And that says it all. You agree because you feel important listening to it. Btw it's not the subject matter, the inherent way she tells jokes isn't funny. But I'd love to hear your perspective.

"You want to be able to make strangers laugh." The university I went to used to bring in comedians every week for it's little bowling alley bar in the rec center. Not many people went, and I always found it weird how the comedians could walk away with a smile after performing in front of an audience that could be counted on one hand. Now I think I get it. It's much easier to know how well you're doing when the audience members aren't getting their laughter cues from each other's reactions.

No, she's just making jokes for an audience that obviously isn't you. I have literally never laughed at a Dave Chappelle joke, but I've cracked up a lot at Hannah Gadsby, because different people have different comedic styles and tastes. The fact that Dave Chappelle tried to drag down another comedian is just stupid and represents the reason people are so pissed off. Because in one sentence he'll say no I understand and I'm listening and I'm not against trans people, and then in the same breath he'll make a joke attacking trans people.

I have no issue with people doing whatever type of “comedy” they want to. The issue with her is that even her fans will say her comedy doesn’t make them laugh, but “that isn’t what comedy is about”… yes, it is. Meanwhile, bad call to attack one of the all time greats saying his comedy is “emotionally stunted” when he’s laughing at your insults, and you’re losing your mind over a situation that has nothing to do with you.

@@ricardocantoral7672 Carlin was allowed to be preachy and depressing. He had already experienced the deep pain of loss, he saw the world turning to shit, saw popular media turning against him, and didn't have much else to live for. He had reached critical mass and realized that he had a voice and a willing audience, so he simply decided to let out all of his resentment and disappointment in the world; in doing so I earnestly believe achieved a bit of peace before he passed on. In those bitter years, he wasn't really a comedian (I don't think he considered his material "comedy" in the traditional sense), he was a social critic with an unobscured agenda. His late attitude reminds me of Miyazaki's, another vocal and influential figure in his twilight years. They see everything falling apart around, don't have the energy or ability to change anything or reassure everyone that the future is going to be a-ok, so they lash out and curse the world to reinstate the values life and time had tried to take from them before they can pass.

Sorry about your mum! Pancreatic cancer is woeful - my mum too! That’s the whole point … comedy is often taking painful things and making light of them. She does that in the first part of the show … then refuses on the second. It’s clever. Your countryman are not known for getting complex humour that’s why the rest of the globe prefers English comedy.
