You can love or hate the material that Jim Carrey brings to the table. But one thing no one can deny about him, is that he's absolutely fearless. Few people can put themselves out there like Jim Carrey can, and he always gives 110% of himself. He's a legend to me. It's worth aspiring to have this level of self-confidence, this level of "I don't give 2 shits what anyone on the face of the planet thinks of me". And he genuinely loves making people laugh, it's not about fame, not for this guy. He loves what he does.

Write jokes for a little set. Practice the jokes on your friends and family. When you’re comfortable with your material, find a local bar/comedy club with an open mic night. Perform your set, and revel in the confidence of your first successful production. From there I think you’ll figure it out.

I used to have this on videotape when I was growing up in Montreal. Watched it so many times it got all fuzzy at the bottom of the screen. Still love it, after all these years.

I know this might be far fetched...because most people suggest that Jim would be able to play a good Joker, however, I think he would’ve made a really good early 90s version Deadpool... I feel like his style of comedy would have worked for a fourth-wall breaking character like Deadpool. Especially after what we saw him do in The Mask. Plus, he is a really good actor in general, not just in comedies, but in dramas as well, for example, his acting in The Truman Show was exceptional! I feel like it’s a perfect balance for a character like Wade Wilson... sadly we didn’t get to see that though.

It is the same, you're just listening to the wrong comics. There's plenty of accent impersonators out there, hardly any of them are white anymore but there's still a ton of them and they're funny.
