    After this game, Jim Calhoun said about Jeremy Lin: "He's a terrific basketball player. What I really like about him is he's athletic, more than you think so. He controls his temperament to a really nice tempo. He knows how to play. He's one of the better kids, including BIG EAST guards, who have come in here in quite some time...I really love his composure."

    And people said Lin sucks. Lin has been good since day one. He just need to have the confidence that his coach at Harvard gave him in the NBA. Clifford seems like he will go all in with Lin, just like Harvard did. Lin is gonna be back doing what he does best when he was at Harvard if Clifford allows him to, guarandamnteed!

    Anyone who plays basketball knows that a slow start can happen, especially if you come off the bench cold while everyone else was already playing but the end result speaks for itself. 30 points coming off the bench now that is amazing. I wonder what would happen if he was a starter? Maybe they win the game against UConn? Jeremy Lin can truly play.

  • @PeekaPeep

    This was the game that should've gotten Lin selected at least somewhere in the mid-to-late 1st round of the 2010 draft. Say what you want about him, but you can't deny the fact that he shines brightest when the chips are down and his back's against the wall. Plus, HE'S A HIGH IQ BALLPLAYER! How the hell you're gonna totally pass someone like that up? Shows stupidity, tbh. YEAH I'M TALKING TO YOU, JAMES DOLAN AND DARYL MOREY!!! >:-p

  • @chiasquare4855

    @chiasquare4855

    8 жыл бұрын

    +PeekaPeep Yep, that's why he was signed after the draft because some of the teams finally saw him play for the first time during Summer League of that year. If Lin had been the second pick of the draft, I'm sure most teams would commit to him like they did with other players. Lin is one of the players that won't get any slack at all. He's either have to be good or nobody wants him, unlike guys who can developed with the teams that signed them. For example, John Wall wasn't playing like the Wall of today back in 2010, but the Wizards let him play and developed. Lin has never got that chance. Hopefully that's what he'll get in Charlotte. BTW if you go back and look at the 2010 draft class, Lin could easily been a top 10 pick. I guess nobody wants to watch any Harvard games back in those days. Lin brought prestigious back to Harvard basketball. Before Lin, Harvard was crap. Now Harvard is constant in the NCAA tournament.

    his father stressed the fundamentals from an early age. Just from this 10 minute clip his basketball IQ is evident and he very savvy on the offensive end. I'd like to see more defensive footage, but it seems he plays the passing lanes well and he's capable of blocking shots.

    The best thing to happen to the Knicks since Ewing, Alan Houston John Starks days. He was masterful in the pick and roll and made offensive stars of players like Chandler, Novak, Landry Fields he had the whole Knicks team DOMINATING the league almost. Even had Knicks and Madison Square Garden Stocks soaring in profits. Go ask Carmelo how he was able to convince the owner of the team to put him on the market for best offers when the Knicks could of had him for $1-2M a year and Lin had to accept. Truth will come out books will be written and movies will be made and Carmelo Anthony will not be very happy of his portrayal it happened in New York the entertainment capital of the world, and he will have to explain to his children why he did that.

    o9mg are you sure he's going to be a back up? Looks like Hornets lead by Kemba is not working out, they are in a huge changing mode, 6 new faces, looks like a facelift to a run and gun with shooters and slash/dashers.

  • @guynguyen1665

    @guynguyen1665

    9 жыл бұрын

    ***** true but i am not saying they will bench Kemba, just saying he will play a combo guard, SG and shared PG duty with Kemba, their line up looks like and run and gun and shooters style, Kemba, Jlin, Batum, MKG, Frank, Zeller and Hawes, Lamb. I think his decision is a bit dictated by the fact the Mo Williams were there last year and putting up crazy numbers 19/7 game. Mo and Jlin are very good friends, they have some similarity in their games, but Jlin is younger and brings a slash/dash and PnR dimension that could elevate his game in similar role of Mo Williams, lol. similarly Mo also #7 and now just signed with Cavs. So expect Jlin to put up with 17/7 easy with weak eastern conference.

  • @xcellmobile

    ***** if he can played with the best players and holding his own and improving his games each year with less minutes. Mello, Beard, Kobe; volume shooters, ball hoggin, then he can thrived anywhere. And now in a weak conference where sub losing records can get you in the playoffs.lol.

  • @Steppen03

    ***** Trust in Lin and his team. They've made the right decision. But it's more like God had made the choice for him. Before FA period, Lin was in Taiwan doing teaching/lectures for his church. He brought up MJ's Hornets in his story. MJ, a legend with every accomplishments only best bb players can only dream about, is still not 100% happy because he is still chasing a championship, only this time as an owner. Fast forward to the future, who would have guess that JL #7 is now the engine that powers the Hornets and can make MJ's wish come true. It's faith. A bond was forged. There were Phil & MJ, Phil & Kobe, MD & Nash, MD & Lin. And now, there is Cliff & Lin. This new Hornets team will be exciting. The Big Four: Lin, Kemba, Batum & Big Al . This team can be the new Hawks team. Why not, they got coach Cliff. And coach Cliff got Lin. I can see them resemble the MD/Nash's Suns team. Let's Go Hornets, The Swarm! Grab that 4th Seed.

    Been watching Jeremy Lin since his HS days in the Bay Area. Everyone is entitled to post enthusiastic comments about his b-ball skills. Hopefully, hed be able to take it to the next level, whether thats in Europe, CBA, NBA. On arguments of Jeremys nationality 100% American. Period but of Taiwanese heritage, NOT Chinese. He is by law a case of dual citizenship of the USA & ROC (Taiwan).

    Funny...Doug Gottlieb who is one of the broadcast crew on this game was going head to head with Bruce Bowen on ESPN about the Lin/Melo meshing issue. Gottlieb was making a bunch of silly arguments about Lin being better without Amare and Melo and Bowen was laughing at him. Gottlieb's big moment at the end was, "I ACTUALLY DID THE UCONN GAME WHEN HE DROPPED 30!" (Yeah, Doug, you also say in this clip that he's of Vietnamese descent. Genius research.)

    @Filipinos4Islanders You can be proud to be Formosan too since most Filipinos' ancestors originated from Taiwan. Anyway, the term "Chinese" Lin mentioned here means more like race or culture... just like how the term Latino is used. However, in English, there isn't such a term for that that's why he said "Chinese". In Chinese, there is such usage like Latino: 華人/漢人/Hua-ren/Han.

    @icefrappe Actually, linguistically and archaeologically, most Koreans are descended from areas currently known as Mongolia and Siberia. Also, the Y-DNA haplogroups, mtDNA haplogroups and a 2010 autosomal study, show that some Koreans have distinct difference from Chinese. In a 2009 study, Korean have no Austronesian DNA, where as Chinese have some in their DNA. In essence, Koreans are decent from Mongolians and Siberians.
