Jeremy Lin was the best high school player in California but he didn't get a scholarship because he's Asian, I'm glad he showed up all the critics

youre on drugs, there's lots of asians that get scholarships. him being in California made it even easier cause the diversity. reality there was probably tons of high school player in cali, but never made it for one reason or another. give lin credit, he made use of all talent he had and he produced when he got the chance under pressure. I like lin, but youre out of touch with reality

@@jewchao2777 basketball my guy, not his academic skills. You didn't know how asian struggles playing basketball in US. He didn't even got a D1 scholarship balling like damian Lillard. Even Yao got booed when he got drafted.
John Wall couldn't do a thing against Lin. Who knew that Wall's kryptonite is an undrafted guy from Harvard? Lin won the crowd over the no. 1 pick in the draft. 'Nuff said.
how did jeremy lin not get drafted, he is so talented tho

trezeguet4ever What Kneefur said in a nutshell, lol. Lin was a LEGIT mid-late first round talent that should've been taken within that section of the 2010 draft and yet...every NBA team out there just couldn't see past his Asian-American/Ivy League background and left him hanging. I mean he was putting up Division 1 numbers that even forced the NCAA to finally recognize him as a candidate for both the Bob Cousy AND John Wooden awards during his senior year at Harvard. No small feat on Lin's part, ftm. I have a feeling he'll end up becoming the star player he was meant to be as soon as some team wisens up to the fact that he is indeed THAT DAMN GOOD AND STILL GETTING BETTER!!!;-D

Love how “he only gave 60%”. lol go watch the other match up. Lin dunked all over their Washington team.
every time LIN touches the ball, the crowd roars, even before Linsanity, Lin's gifted!
Let's not forget that Wall was only 19 years old and Lin had just graduated from Harvad and was the more mature player. What I don't get is why no one wanted this guy. I thought back then in summer league that he proved he was an NBA player. Honestly it was probably because he was asian.

Lin never get a real chance to develop his potential......
those are some really nice plays by Lin
Lin has some great defense there. He might not be the best guard in the league but he is the guard every coach would like to have on his team.
JLin was so quick when he was young.

After this summer league, they did make an offer, but so did the Warriors.
I love LIN!
Great to know that Mike D'antoni will leave a developing talent like this warming the benches while Bibby gets minutes simply deferring to Melo every play.
Ohhhh look at the crowd is going crazy
"To be continued..." Indeed. Two years later here we are. I'm definitely tuning in tomorrow to watch the game.
Jeremy is faster than john wall
John is the man !!! Love the new videos
love the "to be continued..." bit at the end. What foresight, the rematch is tonight. year and a half in the making.
Why did Jlin tweak his jump shot? It looks so good here. High arching and such ; blessings!
Damnn!! how can this guy got overlooked before draft night!!
I just fell in love with Jeremy Lin
0:30 ... "He's gonna be an NBA crowd favorite." ... Yup, that was prophetic, & the rest is history.
Damn Lin damn you’re fast when you were young his move was smooth af
Back to the warriors!

How come nobody bring this up in podcast but only bring up Kobe charmin story, ref made an amazing call after spin move though. Great defensive iq
lin is amazingggggg!!!!
Welcome to golden state! steal of the summer league
daaang this guy is good!!
john wall still had at least 17 points and at least 10 assists. im not sure the final stats but thats what it said in the video at one point.
Mavs never knew he would be this good
that doubleteam split + spin move was a nasty business.
WOW LIN IS AWESOME
Lin has more than lasted one month in NY. matter fact, ya boy is pretty much the #1fan fav right now. Ready for the wizards game.
LIN OWNS 4TH QUARTER!
warriors! great person and player. welcome back to the bay!
i remember watching him during the CIF final against mater dei (cif is is california playoffs for high school and or final) on fox i believe congrats to him for signing with gs. wanted him to be in lakers (im in la) lol id like to see Stephen curry and Jeremy play :D both fun players to watch
...and he did it again. Wall had a great game too, but Lin was even better.
"he's gonna be an NBA crowd favorite" youve got that right.
I totally agree with you sir
Lin was better than Wall.
"OH NO, REF, DON'T YOU DO THAT!" My first time hearing Chris Webber as a commentator; he's good! Both commentators are good and are recognizing what's coming in the future.

nice video quality
Can't believe that Jeremy Lin completely outplayed John Wall and yet he was passed over by 3 teams!? Not to mention almost got cut from Knicks. It definitely takes a miracle from God to bring him back to the game.
Looks like a solid player! : )
Nice game for Lin
Lin majored in economics at Harvard while being a record setting basketball player... John wall did general studies, meaning he took blow off classes through college just to play basketball. Wall might be the better athlete, but Lin is a better role model and actually has something under his belt that's applicable to the improvement of society.
john wall has attitude. both are good players
@242LifeYellow Well, I am Chinese, and it makes me proud to see a Chinese person playing basketball professionally. Not only that, I like basketball.
Jeremy Lin, destroying John Wall since 2010

dude got a NASTY spin move.

Impressive.
summer league or NBA games you have to do your best. that's the attitude of a professional player. give your opponents great game, entertain audience and take the opportunity to improve your skills by giving your best effort :)
jeremy lin is hella raw..
@ctom30872 I agree. After seeing this, it makes the loss of Morrow more bearable.
linn plays better than i thought
wall has the best ball handling
mmmmm we'll see i hope he get's the stats that you are saying but idk if that will happen in houston...let's hope there will be some good pick and roll guys in houston because lin's assists were on point with tyson chandler...those lobs were gorgeous so we'll see.
he is going to be big in oakland, mark my word.
yea he dat good
The more I think about it, the more brilliant this move by the warriors is. This is a guard who plays well running the floor. He'll totally work in Nelson's system. The other thing is Warriors know now they can expect to get a lot of asian americans from San Francisco and the rest of the bay area to buy tickets to watch the warriors play because of this. Good marketing move.
@AgentofMithril Whoops! Sorry, I apologize for mixing it up! I must be overexcited. ^^"
Thank you for sharing too beautiful
We want Lin!!! We want Lin!!!! We want Lin!!!
@Pamballa010 so true, the crowd loved his performance even before they knew him.
“J Lin makes a lot of friends.”
Lin got a ring. And Wall don’t lol
@chrismzac i like it, excuses for the no 1 rookie, the big player , the gifted born genius, the rookie hopeful vs the kid who was never given a chance, had to play at Harvard by getting good grades. Lead harvard to a title AND with no players around him of worth. Then getting nothing on draft night, the heartbreak i can only imagine. and then PROVING himself in the summer league by beating the number 1 pick. That is what legends are made of and now the warriors have Lin? how apt, he is a warrior
I am not a Lin fan, but some of y'all are just hating on him. He is an average NBA point guard, but he has a winner's mentality. That's what differentiates him from other backup or average starting 1's in this league. I believe he can pull off stephon marbury type numbers. He's been proving to people his entire life that he's really good, and its people like you guys who shoot them down
@Axcelaration could have meant high school cause i went to hs with jeremy for a year...still see him every once in a while.
he's gonna be a great defender
@TheDamdavis so true. Lin has all the intangibles a good point guard should have. he's smart on and off the court. he plays smart basketball. it doesn't matter if you have a 100 inch vertical and can dunk a 720 but can't play defense or score in the NBA.
Good news guys, The golden state warriors just sign Lin to a two year deal. He made it to the NBA!!!!
The Warriors officially signed Jeremy Lin on Wednesday.
7:16 the marquee reads "Knicks sign G Raymond Felton" ... oh, what a sign.
@DatNewNewShyt I agree with you that John Wall should've had his highlights shown as well since the video is titled "Lin vs. Wall," but before anyone rips my comment, my point is that the title was misleading a bit; "Jeremy Lin Highlight vs. Wizards" would have been more accurate.
0:24 HOLY SHIT
They said they got kidd so he can be a mentor to jeremy lin and the coach also said jeremy will remain in the starting lineup but then the knicks signed raymond felton
Nowadays Wall (post-knee-injury) is still his explosive self while Lin is slowly getting his speed back
