@Eagle7433

Maybe it's part of the hustle. An edge is an edge no matter how big or small. A change from what you're used to seeing on the table over an over for many years vs someone who's used to playing with those slight changes can be a tiny edge. Even if the slightest thing disorients someone in the slightest way...it's still an edge. In the 80's there used to be parts of the Boston Garden hardwood floor that were warped and in such bad conditions that the ball would bounce funny in certain areas. They kept it that way cause the Celtic players all knew where those spots were and how to play on them. Also during some playoff games the A/C would mysteriously break down leaving temperatures soaring to the 100°s in the stadium. Minor changes in landscape and layout can effect game play in any sport at any capacity.

@@ProFac992 You see the other two of his hustler buddies they lost to her, and don't forget the triggering trash talks that happened with them. So the win here does matter. And he is not any GM. Not trained. And does not have that much experience as Alex has playing with GM's. because on streets you wont find GM's roaming and playing, just immature chess players. So with all that put together defeating her is definitely a ft. and keeping calm and not letting emotion take over is an attitude to be learned. The guy simply outsmarted her. Alex may analyze this one.

8:36 i'm a beginner but this was obviously a terrible idea right? she moved right into the line of fire of that bishop that had been there for awhile. AND THEN he doesn't kill it right away!? so did he also mess up terribly that turn? did he not see it either for a turn? explain

Its fun to see the IM doing the 'trash talk" while Paul sits stoicly and just makes moves.... thats one thing I likea bout Paul. What is not so comfortable about him is that he beats me and still has three minutes left on his clock.
Well, if he is known as "Russian" Paul that explains why she couldn't beat him.

I have the creativity and enthusiasm to bring chess to life here, but my lack of chess talent is keeping me from completing my mission of injecting my love for chess into my hometown. If y’all could teach me how to be better QUICKLY, or just come and pump up the crowd yourself that would make myself and the chess gods very happy 😀.

@@sakuragi_hanamichi3263 well its a good PR move to show a loss, it makes her look "humble" this is all about politics and bs like that. she cant fully say shes a loser, she has to make it seem like she just made a mistake and thats life. however she got outplayed and will never be able to admit that. he outplayed her on the time clock, outplayed by baiting her to take pieces, just outplayed. she didnt even have the courage to play it out once she realized how bad she was losing.

Very interesting unique insight to a world that is otherwise not easily accessible to the public. I play regular chess but speed chess has a fascination all of its own. You did great under pressure. Can't wait to see more videos.
I employ earplugs when I determine an opponent is talking too much during a match. You are a strong player, but I think you're most effective tactic is talking the opposition into making mistakes (which in this case you can tell didn't impact the opponent).
Saw this guy sitting waiting for a game today in Union square park!
