    Roronoa Zoro Let's be realistic, it's tough to be a star when you're on the same team as Kyle Lowry and Kawaii Leonard. I'm disappointed with how he's turned into a garbage time guy, but a lot can happen in a small amount of time. Maybe he'll make that big play yet

    metropolis I mean... he had Melo in New York, Harden in Houston, Kobe in L.A, Kemba in Charlotte, Kawhi in Toronto. Only place he didn’t play with a ball dominant player was Brooklyn, which is where he had one of his best seasons. Almost every other year of his career was surrounded by ball dominant players

    Did you not know that D'antoni resigned from Knicks because Melo threatened Dolan that he will request a trade from Knicks if they re-sign Lin? So D'antoni resigned and Knicks did not offer Lin any contract. He is a free agent so he is free to go.

Matter of fact, Carmelo was the one who told D’Antoni to play Lin more that 2nd half. So please stop the bullshit, Lin chased the money . The Knicks actually matched the rockets first offer. But, Houston then the revised the contract. Fun fact, Mike Woodson was the coach during negotiation, not Mike D’Antoni

    The cohesiveness of Lin, Shumpert, Fields, and Chandler is most likely the reason why Linsanity happened. Jeremy played so well, and made the Knicks exciting. And with D'Antoni coaching, that was the green light for him to have a career night against the Lakers.

    Did you see how humble he was, he genuinely gave all credit to his teammates everytime. If you come up from down bottom you can only relate to that. And no one can take that away from you. He had his share of pride, joy, awesomeness, he will always be remembered. Thank God he got a ring and he got his flowers before he goes to the grave.

    Lin came thru for NY when we needed him most. When we needed something to bring us back from all the disappointing times. He did what Carmello couldn't do: made everyone everyone him better.

    Agreed 100%! I remember how fun and exciting it was to watch the Knicks for the first time since the 1999 playoffs when they made it to the finals..there was a momentum going for the Knicks that we didn't see for awhile and the Cinderella story made it more exciting to watch him. I think if Melo was not there he would have continued to play well. The chemistry was not there anymore with Melo being there.

    Lin inspired team work and team spirit. This was the best Knicks during that time because they played like a team. I remember when Melo came back, all that went away and they went back to the same old hero ball that made them suck.

    The focus was on him because of his story. EVERYONE can resonate with the underdog story and they wanted to be a part of it. Even if it was short lived. His run was similar to tebow's in the NFL. You'll never forget this guy.

    Seen him play in college would’ve never thought he would be that good. I’m a Cornell fan and watching Cornell beat Harvard in 08 I always felt that Cornell had 2 players that deserved to be drafted. One of the best ivy teams ever! Especially after their sweet 16 run in 2010.
