Jeff Buckley and Elizabeth Fraser - All Flowers In Time Bend Towards The Sun | Reaction!

Музыка

I almost felt guilty listening to this personal, heartfelt song that wasn't supposed to be heard. I hope Liz Fraser doesn't hate me. Either way, I'm glad that such a lovely freewheeling tune came out of Buckley and Fraser's intense relationship. Their voices were magic here.
Thanks for watching!

Two amazing artists emerging in a fantastic song. I am so sad Jeff passed, I heard this song and so so glad it was leaked it. I hope Liz has gotten cool with this song making onto the ears of abundant fans. I would have been very sad it I never gotten to know it with out knowing why. An amazing song. Two amazing souls intertwined.

Jeff Buckley also did two duets with Everything But The Girl at Glasto 1995 - a Smiths cover during EBTG’s set and an MC5 cover during Buckley’s set. Jeff Buckley loved playing music which is why his music has that live feel to it imo

Lovely song and particularly love Elizabeth Fraser’s vocals. Seriously worth checking her out as the lead vocalist for Cocteau Twins. Her voice is haunting, more evoking a feeling through melody, rather than lyrics which mostly make no sense in traditional terms. The album Treasure is a favourite.

Kudos for listening the whole song without pause 😮🔝 Btw one of the most "feelings awakening" song. Avoiding depression when possible

I found your channel because I was nostalgic for bands / songs that were very popular in the foreign indie scene in Greece in the 90s. Would love to see you react to Madrugada, Saint Etienne, Puressence, Tim Booth from James, Deus, Death in Vegas who are still big names in Greece ❤

Oh Crikey Nick! This is a legendary tune. As mentioned it has never been officially released and whilst Elizabeth Fraser has acknowledged the track... She has been quoted in saying (indirectly) about the song, that she doesn't understand why everything needs to be heard or released. Infering that this song was a private moment shared between her & Jeff. That not withstanding, the song it'self is a rapturous celebration of their mercurial voices! Elizabeth has utlilized her extremely dexterous vocals, in many different ways over her career. But so rarely has she been so gloriously unfettered in her performance. Possibly adding weight to the notion that because this song was capturing a private moment. She may have felt liberated from the expectations of fans & the reputation as one of the greatest vocalists of all time. Whilst alot of praise has fallen at the feet of Jeff Buckley over time & particularly since his disapperence & apparant su*c*de/ drowning. I personally feel he was somewhat a victim of his own success & the fact that his father was Tim Buckley. Who as you know wrote & sang Song to the Siren. Which Elizabeth Fraser & Robin Guthrie performed & recorded beautifully as part of the 4AD group This Mortal Coil. That the shadow of his father's works & the success of his own album Grace & the inevitable preasure to come up with a follow up album, sadly proved too much weight to carry. Whatever the back story of this song, I do recall with great fondness thee excitement upon discovery of this song via the [then] Cocteau Twins online forums. A truly astonishing performance by two legendary artists. Thankfully Elizabeth has once again released new music, performing under the name Sun's Signature. Releasing her first solo EP in around 12 years. That release features another legendary track that has remained unreleased since around 1996 when it originally appeared , called Underwater, but that's a song for another time.... Brilliant reaction as always Nick..... More Cocteau Twins soon please.... 🖤 Your choice as all their songs are brilliant!
