it’s so wild to me that he decided to use lyrics from a song that wouldn’t see the light of day until years after he died in this performance, nobody in the audience could’ve known all flowers in time, he must’ve been singing this from the bottom of his heart for elizabeth fraiser and for her alone

Oh he so was. And The “sweet willow” reference proves it. I bet He's the tear that hangs inside her soul forever. I know he would be if he was ever mine. Hell…he is now already….lol This version is Just so gorgeous. He put his whole heart and soul in it. I cant quite put my finger on it, but There is just something different and magical about this one in particular. Also It seems a touch slower than other versions, or am I just imagining it? Does anyone else hear this too? I keep listening to other live versions but keep coming back to this one.

Love the guitar sound he gets on this. It's an early song of his, but when he starts merging it with the chorus to All Flowers in Time, you realize he's singing this about Liz Fraser. So beautiful.

Jesus, this version is just transcendent…that intro is PURE MAGIC! I was bowled over, just struck speechless….Tears falling from the very start till the end. This has got to be my favorite live version of my favorite song that I have heard yet. Im in awe, and was simply breathless. The technical brilliance plus the raw emotion is just intoxicating. Wow. The tone on the guitar is otherworldly. Someone said in another video that to hear him play that guitar live during this period was like hearing the angels raining down sonic liquid crystals on your ears and they wept like babies the whole show they were so overwhelmed. I can hear it. Oh Jeff…there are no words. Just Thank you….💐👏😩😭😞

I have been looking for this version of Lover, You Should've Come Over for ages. I'm glad to have finally found it again. I first heard it on Grooveshark several years ago. The intro chords are stunningly gorgeous.

youtube recommended this to me today, on his birthday, i cant even put into words what hearing this has done to my *soul*.

This is a beautiful rendition of Lover, you should have come over. Buckley has helped me through my own heartbreak. I am finally getting over it, but God led me back to this song today to let the last fragments of pain go before I am able to step into a better life. Sometimes we think our pain and experiences are about the other person, but sometimes it's more about the meaning we find in the experience and about the part of our journey we are on when we meet a certain person.

Jesus is always there and ultimately the only refuge we really have. Heartbreak is bitter and brutal and a process by which the soul is cleansed. God allowed my heart to be shattered to draw me closer to Him. I'm sorry to hear about the heartbreak, I'm here if you need to chat through any of it. God bless

Oh my god. If I was Liz Fraser and I heard this now I would die of heart break. I can't imagine what she went though missing this guy. :'(

She was recording Teardrop with Massive Attack when they heard he was missing, so she ended up singing it for him even though it wasn't written for him originally, but you can hear the emotion there because everyone knew he was never coming back :/

Fans really seem to hype up their relationship but we don't know anything about it. People seem to be almost casting her in the widow role, as if she's spent the last two decades pining after him or something. It's demeaning.
