    The easiest and safest way to pull the carrier out is wrap a ratchet strap around it and hook to the frame/number etc. Then tighten ratchet strap until she comes out. Soft strap wont gouge anything and you wont ruin your sealing surface.

    Depending on the gear ratio that you are going with, you might need a new carrier. Other than that, you would need to adjust the shims to ensure the gears are meshing properly. It takes some time to get it perfect but it's not too difficult

    33s will hurt the milage a bit and be more expensive to replace but will give you more clearance offroad. I started out with 31s on my 4.5in lift and I thought they looked a little small. Personal preference but I think 33s fill up the wheel wells a little better.

    Any time you are messing with any steering components, it's a good idea to check the alignment, especially on a vehicle that will see a lot of road miles but in this case, since we didn't actually change the length of the tie rod or any other steering components, and the alignment wasn't affected.

  • @keithlea6804

    @keithlea6804

    4 жыл бұрын

    Well if its not a short to ground in your alternator. I have found that in most eng swaps that now experience electrical issues are ground related or the engine came out of a different newer year and the computer didnt get swapped with the engine. First thing removr all your grounds and clean them the bolt and block surfaces. Make sure you have all the grounds that are required for your year and that they are all in good shape. If all that checks out start tracking down the power wires to your alternator. batt to alt . alt to fuse box. ignition to alt . Check to make sure your wiring at your electrical compartment are the same and wired the same . From year to year they used the same plugs but switched the wiring order around. Check with Eric the car guy on KZread he has a form for this stuff. Talk to your local high school or votec school's automotive school for more information most have a great collection of shop manuals. Hope this helps some

    Thanks everyone for the help. After analyzing everything I reloaded that I made a mistake. I took the wire that was meant for the alternator power and tried grounding that out, then the alternator ground wire I was using as the power 🤦‍♂️. Silly mistake but after switching it’s amazing how you don’t blow fuses 😂!

    Great Video Man But I was eating lunch and When I came Back and Started watching it again you were Torquing the ring Gear Bolts well Sorry man but you Missed One I went Back in Slow - Mo and I am Positive that you Missed One Sorry But I just wanted to See if I could Get the Hair on the Back of your Neck to Stand Up for just a Second LOL. I have Been Doing things like this for Years and a Friend of Mine that was There watching me do this Told me the Same thing and Now I am like No Way and the Hair did stand up when he said Just Kidding. Great Video Man You have Helped a lot of Guys Out There that would have been Lost without Your Video, Videos and even You Tube were Non Existent when I was doing things like this oH telling my Age again Sorry but Great Video and it would have been nice to of had someone like You and Others to Show how things were Done it saves a lot of Time but most of all it saves the Heart Ack of doing it Wrong and costing Money, Thanks again for Helping others with your Videos.
