    LDcorx yeah very true. I had juvenile arthritis and it hit my ankles pretty hard when I was young. I’m 40 now and I gotta watch what I do and how much. My knees, ankles and hips aren’t so great. Can’t run much - well over a few days then I gotta rest. Same with squats and lunges. My muscles may feel good and I could do more but if my joints hurt I stop. I’m lucky my shoulders and elbows are ok and I don’t have to worry to much. It’s about taking care of your self and knowing your limits. Not sure if I would take this approach if I wee younger and a professional sportsperson and that’s my job or my main focus and my goals were all for a particular event. I used to be a swimmer and a waterpolo player. Each to there own. As I have got older my priorities have changed. Fitness is more for health now.

Like it or not, the larger portion of their tricep volume is going to going to come from benching , overhead pressing and potentially dips. And because those movements are easier to progress and overload then tricep pushdown or overhead extensions , they are going to be responsible for more arm growth than trying to isolate the triceps

    @Warrior Hes still doing it wrong. Natty lifters benefit most from doing full range of motion. This has been proven time and time again. Most bodybuilders do half reps because they will build muscle no matter what they do because of the high amount of drugs they take.

    Jay, it's wild to see you grow old before my eyes. I don't mean your old yet, but your getting there. I guess we're all heading that direction. I love the practical approach to lifting because it humanizes the act itself. So many body builders make things appear harder than it actually is, so they can feel superior. I appreciate you Jay. I know you're a good person from the way you carry yourself. You said in Generation Iron that you must think and act like a champion before you are a champion! I carry that with me everyday brother. God bless you!

    Lol I never understood that. Who cares if you modify a piece of equipment for an excercise. That's like me screaming at someone for doing hanging leg raises off a pull up bar and not pullups. Wait you're turn and just use the equipment after the other person is done regardless of the excercise.

  • @KTtraintowin

    @KTtraintowin

    Haha. All the champions in the 70s and 80s did their curls in the squat rack. Sergio Olivia curled in the squat rack... Don't be fooled by what you hear today. The "don't curl in the squat rack" motto is new

  • @booty121212

    @booty121212

    @@KTtraintowin Exactly. Tell that to a guy like Charles glass who always finds some way to modify a piece of equipment for a compeltley unrelated bodypart to what you want to train. I think it's stupid to think that. Look at pull up bar and how many different exercises you can do. I'd rather some guy be able to overload his biceps safely in a squat bar and drop it on the pins instead of ruining the floor and just dropping the bar.
