Does James not know that real people have to carry those bags? And LOTS of them? I work in a job that requires manual labour, and eight and a half hours of lifting can leave me sore as hell. And that's not even as stressful and as time-demanding as the flight industry.

No James shouldn’t complain about $100 because he really can afford $1000 fine. And he shouldn’t make the TSA lady feel bad for doing her job HOWEVER from my understanding it’s about the plan balance and everything that deals with that. So if it is truly a problem that can affect the plane and everyone’s safety why not just not allow any items over 50lbs? Why charge $100 and then be like “ok go ahead”? I’m confused I’ve never road an airplane so somebody help me understand.

Companies love to charge for inconveniences to their employees yet don’t pass that extra earnings to their employees.. Uber is a great example of customers being charged an extra $30 for surge pricing but the driver only sees about $5 of that

Because it's okay if a FEW people go over by a small amount and pay the extra money, but not everyone will. Most people won't. There's a bit of wiggle room, and if people want to pay a high fee to take advantage of that, they can. It's about moderation. Could you imagine if they just said they wouldn't carry any bags over 50lbs at all? People would freak out if they had to buy a second bag for 5 lbs of stuff. So there's a middle ground with a high fee. Allows wiggle room but severely limits that wiggle room.

imagine a plane can only carry 100lb. only 5 ppl can fly on this plane meaning their bags can only be 25lbs.. Not everyone is going to adhere to that rule and they can't just kick you off a flight for your baggage...so instead they LOWER the amount you can bring, just in case their are people with heavier luggage. By adding a fee it makes it so less people are likely to go over that 100lbs. so if we have a plane that can only carry 100lbs...we are going to tell the 5 people, you can bring 10lbs free, then anything 11lbs-20lbs you must pay for. That way the plane is not overweight. I had a flight once where we had to circle the airport because we had too much gasoline even though we already took off..im pretty sure they also said aliyahs plane crashed during takeoff because the plane was too heave

The whole rant I was screaming (in my head) "ITS $100 SHUT THE F-CK UP!" James doesn't realize how comfortable his life is, he has no right to complain about what would, for him, be a small fee.

Well, Addison Ray was a date, right? Her boyfriend is a producer. He literally is a person that is currently making music. 🤷‍♀️

So I work in the aviation industry and the reason why airlines charge so much for overweight bags, extra bags, food, drinks and other amenities is because they literally only make about $5 on the average persons seat. This is because they have to pay so much in salaries, landing and take off taxes, parking, gates, fuel and more. They are a business and they have to make money somehow. Otherwise enjoy paying $1000 on a trip from Miami to NY in coach on Spirit. 🤷‍♀️

According to a few different people on Twitter, you can buy a ticket to the Grammys for $1000. I personally believe though that going to the Grammys when you have literally nothing to do with music is just a way to also keep your name in people‘s mouth so you stay at least semirelevant. But the question remains, if you have $1000 for a ticket, why the heck can’t you spend $100 on your bag? Ugh.
