For awhile, he lived in Orange County, CA, same time I did. He is a couple years older than me. In my late teens, I saw him more than a few times at The Troubador, The Mecca in Orange, The Golden Bear across from the pier in Huntington Beach, and probaly 15 other places over the last decades. We all have artists who shaped our lives, but I am profoundly fortunate that Jackson Browne first entered my life when I was 17, sitting in a three dollar seat, 10 feet away from him. Priceless!

Jackson Browne, in my opinion, is the most honest, revelant, brilliant, songwriter, composer & talents of that generation💜 Back in the day, I went to over 12 of his live performances. I was never disappointed!

....20 & still counting, most recent maybe 2-3 years ago, on Maui, a benefit for his lifelong friend Richard Alpert (aka Baba Ram Das), just him, Joan Baez & Wavy Gravy.... he simply never disappoints....

Jackson Browne is among the most underrated singer-songwriters who eloquently, beautifully and clearly depicts the challenges and conquests of late 20th century American life. Kudos, Browne!

Another brilliant, heartfelt song by Jackson Browne. He's been a favorite of mine since the '70's.

Only Jackson Browne can compliment his songs with his acoustic guitar. A Genius in a league all by homself.

Well done Martin , it's not as easy as it looks. I 've seen a lesson where the tutor suggests bringing the bottom E up to F for those who haven't got big hands, now that's a good teacher. Those chords are relatively easy it's the finger picking that takes a bit of work.

You have help me tremendously since I started playing again after a 20 hiatus while working and taking care of my family, I retired in 2014 and found you KZread channel and it inspired me to dive back into playing again. Thank you for your time. I played this song a little differently ( most likely a hacked version) watching your video explained some parts that I was missing little nuisances that has made a big difference in the sound! I would like at least one time to see your face!

One of my all-time favourite songs .... strange how songs become tangled up with memories, and believe it or not this one is from about 40 years ago!

How few humans on this planet can sit on a stage and create something so compelling with just their voice, their fingers and a fine stringed instrument. I have been listening to jackson pour out his soul in song for forty years now. It never gets old. I came here tonite because "these Days" was ringing in my head all of it's own accord. No radio prompt, no cover no emotional entree. I was just "hearing" it and i had to come hear it.

Yes it certainly reminds us older individuals this song means alot.I lost my whole family.But I will mention my Brother Gregg who was 17,when he drowned trying to save his friend,who was saved by the coast guard.Hes my guardian angel I love you Gregg and not a single day goes by I don't think of you.❤️✝️✝️

Jackson Browne was a force in folk rock, a brilliant singer songwriter. I vividly remember his appearances on those old rock shows with the Eagles, Linda Rondsadt. We who love music have nothing like that now.

So love this mans talent! Pretty much everything about him. I just feel so drawn to him. My hubby which has passed on loved Jackson and he turned me on to so many of his songs. Im forever thankful he did. God, I think he's the best. 💓

Mind boggling, Jackson wrote this when he was "16" (sweet sixteen) this is such a huge song, you can see the artist he later became heading at you like a train coming out of a tunnel .... Here's a great story for you guys. A friend of mine was on SNL and got tickets to a Tom Petty show as they had just played SNL. We get to the show, great tix, and Jackson sits down right next to me. I'm so excited. But I thought I'd be chill so I turn to him and say, "THESE DAYS is my favorite song." He says, "Thank you." And that was it. He just wanted to see his buddy play and didn't want to talk to a moron like me, so I left him alone. But I felt like a tool. He's the best. This song has gotten me through a lot of rough days.

Remembering had Jackson in my home by the beach. The whole band was there. I made them a lobster dinner? Such great person Jackson is and his band I can't say enough about them all. Great Memories in Portland Maine!!
