He is a once in a generation genius, to have that deep of a soul at 16 years old is crazy ..

Having lost my lifelong friend to substance abuse recently this is a sad reminder of life’s consequences and remorse so beautifully told in song.

Well, I've been out walking I don't do that much talking these days These days These days I seem to think a lot About the things that I forgot to do for you And all the times I had the chance to And I had a lover But it's so hard to risk another, these days These days Now, if I seem to be afraid To live the life that I have made in song Well, it's just that I've been losin' for so long Well, I'll keep on movin', movin' on Things are bound to be improving these days One of these days These days I'll sit on corner stones And count the time in quarter tones to ten, my friend Don't confront me with my failures I had not forgotten them

There are 2 types of failures that consciousness people have to face. It's bad enough if one of those types is the extra baggage that others seem to be quite content in laying at your doorstep. You know, constantly reminding you that you screwed up, yet again. Heaven forbid if there's any truth in it. And, worse yet, if the one doing the reminding has their mind made up from the start,

One day I got a call from Jackson Browne asking me to build him a guitar. We became friends and he knew this was my favorite song, so Jackson played ‘These Days’ with this guitar I built him for over 10 years. I love Jackson, he’s my friend.

This is a wonderful track by JB written at 16 years old. Now go and listen to Terry Reid's incredible song "Without Expression" written at only 14. The best version is on YT from The Old Grey Whistle Test BBC music programme in the early 1970's.
