Median rent on their apartments is ~5,500 a month. Then they get the basics (phone/hygiene), call it 200/month. Health insurance averages $800/month in New York. Taxpayers are also paying hundreds of fulltime employees to process and manage them, and that cost can't be easily measured. These total around 8 and a half thousand. Add the money the taxpayers give the gov. employees to manage the mess, 12k is reasonable.

Deport, deport, deport. Save YOUR country. Let them SAVE their own. This CANNOT go on.

As someone who's family immigrated the right way: stayed home, filed paperworked, secured jobs PRIOR to arrival we came to ADD to America. As someone who entered the country legally and waited my turn (for more than a decade) instead of actually breaking the law and border-hopped, this infuriates me to no end. Asylum is for people escaping actual political oppression. Economic migrants should NOT be considered asylum-seekers. To wit, there's no big honking sign in neon lights that said "America guarantees rights for all law-breaking citizens of other countries". There's a reason why work visas are issued only when a company is willing to sponsor, it ensures that there's an actual opening that a sponsored employee will fill before coming over. Send them all back, make them wait their turn, and maybe the country's (and New York's) budget issues can get a breather. It's not rocket science, just people like AOC trying to exacerbate the issue without presenting actual, viable solutions.

And when we do we are not doing out of the kindness of our hearts but because it meets a strategic purpose the U.S. is trying to achieve. I was an uber eats massenger and the new changes effected me so much that I could not pay rent within a month after it was issued and I may have gotten like 3-4 days out the week to go online. Its something that completely caught me off guard I had to move back with my parents in the middle of February.

As a legal immigrant whose family suffered a lot for us to get that status, my answer is unfortunately LOL. Who invited these people. I think that each Democrat who voted for Joe should house a migrant and be forced to do by law.
