No, actually, it is not. Americans can't afford apartments because they've all been bought up by investment companies that collude with each other to crank up rents, and who buy single family dwellings to do the exact same thing. 70+% of residential purchases have been by investment companies since 2020. Food, medical care, and other commodities are ALSO owned by mega-corporations that jack up prices because they can, there are no competitive alternates. The migrants sure as heck don't help things in the least, and actually make them monumentally worse, but they are not the root cause of *THAT* issue.

Because the United States turned back ships carrying thousands of Jewish people coming from Europe just prior to WWII, due to the persecution they were facing. I do not begrudge anyone who is trying to do better for themselves However I have worked all of my life and 8 years ago became ill. I lost everything and am now homeless living from couch to couch with family. I applied for disability and have been turned down 8 times saying I am not sick enough. I can barely walk, I have fibromyalgia, arthritis all over my body, diabeties, and about 5 other things wrong with me. All of the money I paid in taxes and ssi they are giving to other people yet I do not get anything to help me. I hope this place gets done in.

In Finland they also arrived with plains. Then the Fins put them all in a small village up north where it is nice and cold and out of the way. Applying to social security etc meant the migrants had to go through the same super slow bureaucracy. They started to complain how the food and housing wasn't good enough. Even though it was EXACTLY the same as the locals have. Then the migrants could suddenly afford a plane ticket out of Finland. What a surprise... This invasion is happening around all of the world. It is sickening. Someone must be orchestrating this with the goals to destroy current society for some reason or another.

I dont get it. These people spend thousands of dollars to come here fleeing poverty. But the average American doesnt even have an extra $500 for an emergency. Over 60% of Americans are living from pay check to pay check. I dont have thousands to relocate anywhere and yet THEY'RE the ones with no opportunities in their countries?

It's ironic! As a 21 year 100% disabled veteran. I have to pay full fare wherever I fly. Yet, the government pays for illegal migrants, to fly for free. I recently flew from Tucson to Dallas/Fort Worth, half the plane was filled with illegal migrants.

I’m Canadian. I have a brother who tried to get permanent residency in the US in the late 1990s. He has a squeaky clean criminal record, PhD in Electrical Engineering, English first language, married with no children. The company he was working for on a work visa wanted him permanently, so he started the process. He spent $30K of his own money (1990 dollars) as well as his employer spending about the same on Immigration lawyers and fees. After a couple of years, it was declined. Eventually my brother and his wife returned to Canada where they still live today doing contract work. It really pisses him off to hear how people can sneak into the US illegally, become a “refugee” when in reality they are economic migrants looking for a better life and can’t say as I blame them. If you can do it for free, get free accommodations and free stuff along the way…even better. Seems that my brother would have been a significant contributor to the US economy during his working life, but I guess that doesn’t matter because Thaddeus McMoneybags wants cheap labourers to trim the hedge at his mansion.

In my city, we brought in thousands of asylum seekers from African countries and the people from 2 of those countries took weapons to the street and started fighting, bringing their problems here. Absolutely unacceptable.

When countries through out history have refused to take refugees, asylum seekers, etc bc they've seen the danger & harm that comes from it there shouldn't be an argument ab being overly cautious when being gracious enough to open our doors to them.

The mayor did criticize the administration. Then the administration hit him with a FBI investigation into campaign issues. Then he shut up. Same with Henry Cuellar in south Texas.
