The bus stop scene is the main scene i always think of when some one talks about these movies and for me is the best scene out of both, long gone are the days when people had each others back.

Love it that he was so tactical, to break the guy's knee AFTER just knocking him out. Colossal.

I wish he was not a cult leader, but he is a good actor.

1:29 I always feel kinda bad that Jack didn’t get to watch that entire 15 seconds when the two bad guys just bounce off the walls and each other, because he was facing down in the tub. What he must’ve been thinking, listening to the racket and not getting hit a single time, finally poking his head up to see one take a baseball bat to the face from his partner. 😂

This is a film that you don't get tired of, you can watch it many times, it's one of the best films with Tom Cruise. All the actors in this film are wonderful, everyone. Even the cameo role of Aleskia Fast or Robert Duvall is wonderful👍. I'm not even talking about Werner Herzog, he played the role of a bloodthirsty bastard so talentedly 👍 The second film unfortunately turned out not as great as the first film.

The 1st one was good - although, in that bathroom scene - wouldn't they have more than just a concussion? The thing about these violent movies - the victims would get their heads bashed in and it would be serious but movies never cover that. The 2nd movie looks awful and the show is bad, too.

Scene two: bad guys roll nat 20 on sneak and initiative, scores one direct hit for bludgeoning damage. Rolls 1 for follow-up attack, rolls one for follow up attack, rolls one for follow up attack, rolls a series on ones for dexterity and agility checks. Final enemy rolls twenty on stealth check, rolls one for initiative check. 😅😅😅😅

There are two things in movies that Hollywood after all these decades still hasn't figured out. Number one is the high speed chase down a one-way street the wrong way. Granted the driver may be skilled enough to dodge those cars but it is guaranteed that the drivers who are coming at him are not going to be as skilled and one of them is going to hit the car going the wrong way. The second is the gun standoff. Every time I see that and notice the ridiculousness of it. My mind makes the leap to what Tuco said in the good and the bad and the ugly. "When you have to shoot, shoot. don't talk"

2nd scene was hilarious

Lightly slaps a guy and knocks him out. Ok Thanos

It’s a little hard to see this as a Jack Reacher movie after the Alan Ritchson version. But if we just pretend this isn’t Reacher, it is certainly a good standalone action movie.

Loved those movies.

For what it is, I remembered Jack Reacher to be bigger and blonde.

Right. They didn't originally mean Jack Reacher. It was originally supposed to be called Jack Ryan but for Tom, that would be like Bruce Wayne stepping down from being Batman to take on the role of Robin.

Lee Child, who plays the property sargent that returns Jacks things when he's released from holding, had recently lost his job as a UK TV exec and was worried about how to support his family.. He was toying with the idea of writing a book but couldn't come up with a name for a lead character. One day he and his wife were buying groceries and an old lady came up to him and asked him to get her something from a high self, him being 6'4", his wife told him he "could always be a reacher," and the rest is history.

Those first two take downs were so fake… they would have been full blown fights not silent take downs.

to be honest they should not replace jack reacher with another actor. tom cruise is perfect and you don't need to fix something that is not broken.

Truth is all contractors do look like they go to the same barber. I can tell who an American tech worker is at any airport in the world. They all have the same beard. They all have the same ear buds in their ears. They all sit in the airport against a wall and are carrying an expensive gaming laptop.

This is the only film from Tom Cruise i dislike because of this scene. No way that punch knock him out after that same Barber line 😂

Good sh&& but any hotrodder knows if you stop a classic V8 after pushing it to the limits your radiator will blow with such heat and pressure. And if the car stalls in the first place because of the heat of your stress on the engine it will seize. If you try to start it by PUMPING the gas pedal is only going to flood the carburetor. You need to turn it over for a period without killing the battery to clear the carburetor. And if that does not work then you need to set still until the engine cools and the carb clears before you can start the engine.

When the red car exited the tunnel it slammed into the yellow water barrel barriers and exploded. Yet after the car was restarted and he drove off the yellow barrels weren't damaged. Why show them if you are going to show the damages to the vehicles?

Knocked him out on a dead quiet plane and none noticed? Maybe that should have been filmed as if everyone was sleeping. Took me out of it.

I never hit someone but is it possible to hit someone that hard and no one hears and notice?
