Finestkind (2023) | Terminally ill Father kills 3 Drug Dealers to protect his son

Ойын-сауық

Title: Finestkind (2023)
Plot: Finestkind tells the story of two half-brothers (Ben Foster and Toby Wallace), raised in different worlds, who are reunited as adults over a fateful summer. Set against the backdrop of commercial fishing, the story takes on primal stakes when desperate circumstances force the brothers to strike a deal with a violent Boston crime gang. Along the way a young woman (Jenna Ortega) finds herself caught perilously in the middle. Sacrifices must be made and bonds between brothers, friends, lovers, and a father (Tommy Lee Jones) and his son are put to the ultimate test.

My dad was terminally ill at 85. He was telling me for the first time, and he started crying because he said he couldn't protect mom and me now. That was the first time I really felt what it was like to be grown up. I just hugged him and told him I would protect him and mom now. The man would have killed and/or died for my mom, my two brothers and myself. I miss him.

Sorry for your loss, I lost family members 2 aunts to cancer, lost my grandma and uncle to covid and my other uncle in a motorcycle accident, they lived in Mexico and its been many years that i have not traveled to Mexico to visit them and i always wanted to go visit them but never got the chance to see them again 💔. God bless you and your family. Your dad will always watch over you and your family every day, trust me. I saw this movie while i was in drug treatment a few months ago. It was a great movie. It made me think about how my son is the most important thing in my life and how I should never choose drugs over my son. Im now 6 months clean, and my son has a good father again after 5 years of being massively addicted to drugs after being injured in the Army. 5 years were wasted, but I have the rest of my life to do better and be better. If anyone is struggling with addiction, just know you can do it. A clean and sober life is better than one where you are chasing a high for temporary relief. If anyone needs help... reply to this comment.

My wife miscarried twice in the first few years after we were married. The doctors could never give us a reason why. Years went by and nothing. She started infertility treatment but it was taking too much of a toll on her mentally because it wasn't working. I remember praying before her last procedure. I didn't pray that she would get pregnant. I prayed for God to bless us with a child. I think I prayed harder than I did before my dad died. Once again, the procedure didn't take. About two months later we met our son. He was three weeks old when we brought him home. I knew the second my wife held him. His adoption was finalized a week before Christmas. He's now a twelve year old pain in the ass and I would gladly give my life for him without a second thought.

I had two sons, both were still born. Then I had a daughter but she died when she was only a few minutes old. I couldn’t take it anymore and wanted an end, 3 times I tried to take my own life, I was tired and wanted a way out. But then in 2016 I had a son, he’s 7 years old now and no matter how bad things get, no matter how much depression beats me down, I keep going for him, I live for him. He saved my life but he’ll never know that. He’s the reason I carry on every single day. This scene hits hard because there’s nothing I won’t do to give my son the best life I can. Now I’m all about positivity and moving forwards! ❤

God said call no one on earth "Father" because He is our only. Men will fail. He will not. Believe in Jesus and you will be fine. Our life here is so short that in 1 million years in paradise you will not even remember. Now, you can be the best dad to your sons/daughter you can be. Forgive your dad and fix the broken chain.

I am sorry to hear that man, I wish we’d all get to have good fathers. Mine was a complicated man to say the least. I spent most of my life resenting him for his failure to be there for me in the ways I wanted and needed, I could not have felt any other way. He loved us kids but his parents messed him up pretty good so despite his best efforts, he could never be fully free of that trauma and couldn’t help but pass some of it on to us. I often felt I was an inconvenience to him. In recent years though he changed somehow, surprising all of us. He became kinder, calmer, more loving and present. This went on long enough to know it was genuine, then he died suddenly and without warning right when things were getting good. It has made me ponder the nature of life, family, karma, fate and so many things I never considered about him, but above all, I am left with what was good, true and beautiful. All the resentment washed away the minute I found him, dead. We never really know what we have until it’s gone, sometimes that revelation will knock you on your ass with its clarity. If you have children, for the love of God, work as hard as you can on correcting your flaws and just do your best with them. We must do better than our fathers. Forgive me for dumping this story that may be scattered, I am still in the grief as of writing. Whoever you are, I feel you and I love you. This life thing is fucking crazy and painful but love shines through all. That’s what we remember best.

The world is a bitch…with incredibly useless people. Sorry you had a bad upbringing. The question now I ask is how do you treat your children if you’re trying to compare your life, I assume you’re a parent? If not, take notes of your life and decide if you are going to continue your emotional landslide.

Life lesson....never run your mouth like you are untouchable. One day, you will run across someone a whole lot tougher than you, with nothing to lose. Carry yourself high...but be humble in life. Edit: Some of you people have the iq of a potato, so let me clarify for you slow ones in the back. Movies tend to push messages and lessons within them. They don't have to be based in real life, nor do they have to be correct in their story. The message being shared in this scene, is very correct, and very obvious to see(see original comment). Not my fault you guys can't pull head from rear to see it for yourselves. Some people dont have an end game fear of loss...hence why prisons are over populated 👌

Fully understand. My only child my Son, was born while I was a young Marine in Vietnam. My last night in country our small blip on the tac map was hit by VC and NVA. Half overrun we (and a small contingent of Army 101st Fighting Eagles - 101st Airborne) beat them back and out of our compound. Being spared that early morning I was duty and Love bound to protect, provide full care to the raising of my Son. First time I held him and looked into his trusting eyes, I knew. Felt his skin against my skin after I bathed him, the bond and promise was made. Anyone who stood in my Son's way to safety, comfortable life, upbringing and chance for success later on in life was standing in harm's way. Let there be no doubt. Some men got hurt, but they earned their "reward." My Son is now a very successful young man, happily married on a professional position. I fully understand the father character in tnis scene.

Big respect to you, my father was a Kurdish guerilla, he fought against Iran, Turkey, Syria, Iraq and been living in the mountains with only purpose of killing and sabotaging. He met my mother in a political camp and they decided to get married. When he was drunk one day, he told me that the only reason he didn't die in those mountains is because I was born and he had a bigger call in life than freedom. He took us to Europe for our future, left the PKK behind, he was called a traitor by some, our family elders disowned him and he had no support from Kurds in Europe since he was considered a "deserter." That did not stop him, he started over in Europe and raised us to be better. Now I got myself a solid career, a beautiful wife and we have a baby on the way. Sadly my father passed away in 2017, he went back to Syria when ISIS emerged to fight once more, as local population needed experienced guerillas to teach and mobilize the civilians against ISIS & Turkey. We told him not to, well I guess once a soldier always a soldier, that's what he wanted and I am sure he died without doubts or any regret. I just realized that my father was born to fight in those mountains, that's what he wanted to do and that's what he was born for, but once I born, his priorities suddenly changed, he became an outcast among Kurds and was pushed away by everyone in his life just so he can raise me. RIP Father, I love you to death, till we meet again.

I hope you do. I did. I grew up without a father (mine was a drug-addicted, alchoholic who tried to kill me), and my mother was/is abusive to this day. I have two sons, and though I can't raise them like I was raised (because that would be very wrong), what I do is remember what I didn't like, what hurt me, and I don't do those things. Give your children what you didn't get - a good, loving home, and be the father that you wanted to have. This will mean making sacrifices, and some will be brutally difficult. I work 80+ hours a week to afford a nice, stable home, and spend what time I have with my boys and my wife. I go willingly into the grindstone for them, day, after day, week for week, month for month, year for year, because that's what it takes. Many talk about love, about what they would do. Be what you say. When teachers say things about your child, take time off and go sit in class, for as long as you need to see if they are telling the truth. Know your children. What hurts is when you are growing up and you are looking up to your father and he never looks down and sees you. I am the middle child. One older brother and one younger sister. I had a birth defect and had to have open heart surgery when I was 6 years old. My mom had to threaten him to get him to come to the hospital on the day I was operated on. He went out drinking the night before the surgery. I wish I had a father like this. He died of cancer. He asked my mom why I wasn't coming around more to see him. She said why should he. I don't think he understood. I cried for about a minute at the funeral home. And I think the reason I did was because I would never have a father like this one.

Needs something better than the old clichéd Oscar. He's molded himself over decades into a Super artist, a talent Unrecognizable from his old made-for-tv crap of the '70s. He's become a genius playing the weary but deadly whip-smart & sarcastic characters he specializes in.

There’s no bigger love than the love of a child. I love my parents and i’ve known them for more than 3 decades. I love my wife too and i’ve known her for more than 1 decade. But the love that I feel towards my son it’s just on another level. I guess it’s a natural thing. I will never forget when my mother said “I love your father but what I feel for you, my son, it’s another thing”.

My Dad took a different approach. He told me that he loves me more than almost anything, but that he loves my Mom just a little bit more, so don't ever try to break them down or turn them against each other, because they will always be a team and a unified front. He put me in my place, and I was totally cool with it. I thought he was right to say it at the time (I was about 5 years old), and I still agree with his stance.
