The reason Scorsese did this was because when he was growing up in the Bronx he would look out of a window to his right and hear music, you know "doo wop" playing and look to his left and see somebody getting a beating, it was a soundtrack to the hood and the happenings. De niro grew up around the corner so it would be sort of the same I guess.

@@SvenTvikingyeah I liked the scene but between bikers and mafia wise guys my money is on the bikers. Not only do they get in tons of street fights but like you said many are veterans and many also grew up on the street. I've known a lot of 1%ers and even among street gangs they're known for being tough and vicious.

Something I've always wondered...did Vinnie know EXACTLY what was going to happen as soon as he walked into the bar, i.e., did he simply tell the bikers they would stay as long as they had only two beers in order to cajole them into staying while he rounded up the crew to beat the crap out of them? That's how it seems to me, since he immediately begins giving orders to other members of the crew outside of the vision of the bikers. Any clarification would be most appreciated.

No one is stealing your Nikes you bought from walmart, they are stealing your '21 Carmine edition white and red Jordans.
