Happy birthday to your son. This was supposed to be my song when I go. I’m 44 and my dad passed going on 3 years ago of colon cancer. Not trying to weird you out but my dad visits me all the time. And let’s me know what’s going on. He was cremated and he’s over my shoulder as I type. He’s here when he wants to be. Have you had tour son visit?

My dear husband passed away on July 9, 2023. Right before he passed he said he heard this song and it relaxed him. He said he knew now why I loved the song. He passed away a day and half after telling me this. This was the only song I played at his funeral. 😭 We were together almost 35 years and had 7 Children.

This was the song we played at my Mom's memorial service. She and my dad had been married 11 days short of their 65th wedding anniversary. My dad only lasted 10 months after her passing. H simply could not go on without her, and died of a broken heart.

Listened to this song a few days ago and it made smile and cry. Smile because it takes me back to the islands while im fighting traffic or just having a bad day. Where have I been, I am 64 and just hearing this young man's music. I cry everytime I am blown away, I play his music daily and I was sadden when I realized he passed. I lost my grandfather to cancer 2 months ago. He was an old hardass to the core but i still cry like a kid when i think about about how mucj i miss him. I still remember, very vividly the dream i had, not a few weeks after he died where i walked into his house, knowing full well hed already died, and i saw him sitting on his bed. I immediately broke into tears, in my dream, and told him how much i love him and how sorry i was that i wasnt a better grandson. He got upset and said, "aw shit, man. This is exactly what i didnt want". But i cant help myself. I miss him terribly and always will. I woke up from that dream, crying.

I played this for my first grandchild the first time I held her in my arms. She has heard it almost every day I see her. As soon as she hears his voice, she smiles, says "Izzy", kisses the screen and says "love you". She is 1 and a half years old. Another generation loves Izzy!!!

+kittyleigh007 somewhere over the rainbow was in the original movie the wizard of oz in 1939 and the second song what a wonderful world was done by many artists too but i believe Louis Armstrong was the original. well it was originally performed by him anyhow ...i love Louis Armstrongs version best but as far as over the rainbow this guy Israel K kills it. love this version.

I am sitting here with my old teammate and friend for the last 53 years and he is fading away with brain cancer. This was one of his requests to have this song played at his funeral. It is so very hard to watch anyone die, especially when they are a close friend.

This song is the song following me since I’m a child, I am French so younger I couldn’t understand the lyrics, now I grew up and I can say to this man the sentence « I hear baby cry and watch them grow » is so true. IZ you helped me a lot with this. RIP oldman, I hope from where you are you will se my children listening to this song too.

My sister lost her son on 3/11/21 and this was played while showing his pictures on slides, it was his favorite song. My heart is still heartbroken for our loss.
