Ummmm Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Linda Ronstadt, Ann and Nancy Wilson, Dolly Parton, Barbara Streisand, Gloria Estefan, Karen Carpenter..... Jesus Christ, I can think of hundreds of women who play an instrument and bring down the roof with her voice before Lady Gaga, and didn't need some goofy cosplay gimmick to jump start their career.

I don't think Lady Gaga has every looked more beautiful than she does in this movie. I love her without makeup and with her natural hair color. I think she is radiant.

Same, I literally got goosebumps when I saw this in the theater - still so moved by her voice in this. I think a lot of us were distracted by the media hype and the over the top expressionist entertainer type. It didn't bother me at all, I just didn't really pay attention or care as it felt like marketing fluff. This movie, and a few songs from it break through that wall and I hear all her music for what it is, fucking genius and amazing.

It's been a few years since I saw this in a theater. Today I had the urge to look for this scene. Still gives me goosebumps. I guess the same thing happened to the other 150 million of you??

This is the best that Lady Gaga has ever been. I know that she has her own genre, but strip down like this was just so amazing. It was just the performance of a lifetime for me.

What makes a great voice? I don’t know. Nothing wrong with Coopers voice at all … but then you hear Lady Gaga and it’s just electric- the emotion and the truth in her singing goes straight to my heart. She is one of the greats. The casting of her in this movie could not have been more perfect.

That's why Bradley wouldn't make the movie without her. He knew from when he first picked up this project from Eastwood that Gaga was the one and only voice for his concept. I'm truly thankful she accepted and had completed trust in his ideas. Barbra Streisand nailed her part back in 1977, but Kris Kristopher was given garbage music and a garbage concept. This film is the best of the for that have been made.

Fair comment. Gaga's role is absolutely key as she is the rising Star of the title. SO accordingly, she must get the key moment where you realise this. In contrast, Cooper's character is a fading star - the early part of the film where you see him struggling with his alcoholism and then beginning to really screw things up professionally and in his key relationships underscores all of that. In keeping, Cooper can get away with some loose moments in his singing in and presentation because his guy on the way down -- and in the end he knows it.

Never fails to bring me to tears. One of the greatest music scenes in a movie of all time in my opinion. Unbelievable.

I agree 100%!! If the movie is on and I happen to scroll by I ALWAYS have to stop and watch it! I've watched from the beginning probably 10 times and caught after it was playing 20-30! Hubby even always stops it because he knows I love it and he will watch until her manager comes on the scene! He hates him! LOL I forgot to mention that I absolutely LOVED A Star Is Born with Kris and Barbara, saw it when I was a teenager (telling my age 😉) and when this came out I thought I will watch it because I love the other one and Bradley but I know I won't love it like that one, but I do and every time I see it I love it more and more.

Unfortunately, neither natural beauty nor raw talent sells these days unless they're attached to a gimmick. I was not at all a fan of Lady Gaga until I watched this movie during the Covid pandemic. Because of her outlandish makeup and wardrobe, I always thought she was just a gimmick and nothing more. After watching this movie I saw how gifted she really is; and (though it shouldn't even be part of the equation) how naturally beautiful she is. She and Brad do make magic; don't they?

It's a beautiful song and Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga sings this amazing together stunning performance. Love the movie A Star Is Born but oh man at the end it's unbelievably a tear jerker so so sad at the ending but they did an amazing job. I love everything Bradley Cooper plays in I've seen so far in this movies and what a beautiful voice he has as well wow amazing .

Imagine you're at a concert and lady gaga debuts in front of you with this piece, I would die. During the part where she says "I'm of the deep end" her voice is just so gorgeous. I'm so happy that she could finally take of the glitters and costume and show she's even more badass and beautiful

I agree. The wigless, genuine, Stefani Germanotta is much more attractive than the Gaga persona.

Was fortunate enough to see this film at the cinema, and this scene was incredible, it felt like you were back stage witnessing something special.

I've seen many exhibitions of his works including the museums in Amsterdam...such beautiful portraits of human existence

She's so unbelievably talented and Beautiful without fancy costumes & paint.. she shines on another level ..I didn't understand her initially and now I love her music so much she's one of the best singers ....

It is such a perfectly created vignette that he directed, and they killed it. He also designed their Oscar performance. He really knows how to form these perfect creative visions, and their singing, in combo and hers alone, just lifts it into another galaxy.

This is one of my all-time favorite scenes from any movie I've ever seen. So many emotions...

Bravo. I'm in love. Forever in love. She sold the message absolutely perfectly. She is amazing. b Cooper was as well. Great job

There is many reasons and songs and videos and interviews and , well there's loads of reasons to Love Lady Gaga, this is my number one on that massive list!

This was my childhood favorite song, a song that always ledt me in awe from Berlin. First ballad song that made sense to me but to hear your version just made me fall in love with song all over again. This is amazing. Beautifil voice. Your voice made me close my eyes and just enjoy the flow. Best version for me. Thank you. 😊

She is so gorgeous when she is herself!

Apart from being an absolute beautiful duet. The thing that struck me the most, was the absolute beauty of this lady. I did not realize that she was this stunning. When I think of the name “Lady Gaga”, all I pictured was crazy costumes, overused makeup, and rude crude lyrics. The fact that she can actually sing, and be this wholesome and beautiful made me stop, and do a complete double take. More of this simplicity, raw beauty and pure vocals from her, and I could not help but admire the work and be “a fan”.

Agreed! Have you seen her sound of music medley performance at the Oscars? Truly incredible, I'd never heard her sing in such a different style but she has the most incredible range and is classically trained too. Yes, she is a superstar but she is also underrated.

Watch her classic Christmas show and documentary when she first came out. Or her performances with Elton John or Tony Bennett. She went to college for music and plays many instruments. Composes so many original songs. Powerful lyrics. Beautifully talented. Even her wilder songs, showcase her range and raw talent. Gotta listen.

Love the both of them. Cried through out the movie. Absolutely, incredible performance.

@@metal-potato Not taking anything away from him at all, but remember he only had to learn a small amount of guitar playing. Only the songs/parts of songs that were in the movie. I’m not saying that would be an easy thing to do, but it’s not like he actually learned how to play the guitar in 6 months. Somebody who actually knows how to play the guitar can just pick up a guitar and basically play pretty much anything. He could only play the small amount of things he actually learned.

@@MurderingLeprachauns I agree. I’m sure I couldn’t do it. I have no musical talent whatsoever, so it was impressive. I was just stating that he did doesn’t REALLY know how to play the guitar. Lukas Nelson (Willie’s son) taught him what he had to do for the movie. A guy like Lukas, or Willie, for that matter, is somebody who truly knows how to play the guitar. But again, I will say it was impressive because he learned the guitar parts, the singing parts and piano parts all in 6 months.

Fun fact: he also learned to speak French in (more or less) 6 months, IIRC.

So hauntingly beautiful, could listen to this forever! Every now and then a song is created and sung that hits a nerve and will never be forgotten, I truly believe this is one of those songs! xxx

I love lady Gaga. She is so talented and such a lovelly soul. I watched one ofvger shows back about 2010. My son worshipped her and he was about 12 at the time. I sat down with him expecting something that I wasn't going to like but, I was so wrong. I really enjoy something that's different and boy was the show along those lines. I loved every minute of it and have been a fan of Lady Gagas' ever since. She puts so much into her shows. She is beautiful, intelligent, clever, hard-working and definitely offers the fans music that is so well thought out, fantastically written etc etc, iam and all ways will love her music.
