Somebody in my FB group posted that her husband suffers from ED and it destroys their marriage and he is on verge of unaliing himself and can't cope, and that she is unhappy too, and probably she would be better off finding somebody else. Majority of us genuinely thought ED is for Erectile Didfunction, and we were suggesting specialists in that area. The author of the post went mental. Turns out this particular ED was meant as Eating Disorder. Who knew! She never explained that before, did she

Nearing adult age learned to distrust the whole MD BIZ and went for naturalistic remedies, so found THC and CBD after trying out some XTC. Conscripted to military in FDF, assigned to MILINT in HQ. Got recruited to CIA via FSIS, later been offered a job in FSB with a rank of OF9 as in NATO. Actually I have no PhD, but have done tens of thousands of hours of research to beat the Cabal and all those child-molesting satanist predators over the course of 20Y. I have been following Ismo for nearly 20 years already and the jokes just get better. I just wish there were more stuff still in Finnish as well, because that's when the jokes really shine. Don't get me wrong, he's hilarious in English and the big audience is there and it's incredible how much he has already achieved, but sometimes it would be nice to go back to to originals where it all started from.

I hear my american friends use the weirdest acronyms for the most mundane things. But also for things that nobody could ever guess unless they were a professional of certain field AND constantly exposed to this person. And then speaking like it never dawned on them to be clear to someone who wouldn't know the most secret and arbitrary acronyms you can come up with. Like for some reason English is about the only language that actively tries to make their language less understandable to anyone.

I think there is even worse level than overusing acronyms, it's overusing acronyms and when the acronym is expanded, you'll find out the verb have been replaced with a company name. So it's like double the fun. For example... N&C. N&C is, in addition to acronym and verb replacement, an euphemism (wasn't at first but the meaning of the acronym shifted over the years). It however sounds more romantic to DTF, but I don't have Netflix subscription so I can't use it. So in my case, when I crave for sex, the modern communication would be "BD&C", where BD is of course Bluray Disc, not Bondage & Discipline... even though it might mean it in the end as well.
