Knowing how to use a controller is something we all take for granted, he is very patient and it's just something that takes practice. He really seems brand new to it which is fascinating to watch, especially knowing what an amazing chef he is.

This is totally true. Using a controller may feel second nature to us who've been playing for a while or since we were young, but for non-gamers it's hard because there's a certain dexterity needed to it

His arms would slowly move right or move up and down when mario would jump.. "dad. All you gotta do is use the directional pad and buttons and not move the whole controller!!" A fun experience with my pops. Great video!

There's vr cooking games, it would probably be much easier for your dad to learn. Controller or m&k tend to be very confusing but vr is more intuitive

I recently have suffered neuropathy effecting my left index finger and thumb. I've been a gamer for years and let me tell you relearning a controller is tough business. A struggle I never thought existed. I appreciate this moment this video and are he is an awesome dad indeed very cool patient and humble. If he was genuinely interested in gaming he would master this with no issue. Dexterity is dexterity no matter how you chop.
