    I appreciated how sensitive the dad was. Like he understood why people go to fast food and he didn't disparage people for going to fast food. Then he framed his reviews in regards to other fast food. You add to it that he is doing all of this for his son's benefit coming in with an energy of good faith. It is evidence of a loving, empathetic father and that is fantastic. This made me subscribe.

    Your Father is 100% correct when it come to KFC. When KFC was Kentucky Fried Chicken (back in the 70 and 80's) The chicken was seasoned. Well seasoned and they changed the oil more frequently.

    What I truly loved about this video is he was candid and not "stuck up". He generally enjoyed most all of the food and said so. I expected an "Iron Chef" to be snooty and this food beneath him. That didn't happen at all. Wonderful!

    It's the same for me. It's very rare that I eat fast food, but when I do, it's Chick-Fil-A and Wendy's. But I definitely rank Culver's and Ponchero's ahead of them. They're just harder to find if you're not in the midwest.

    I grew up similar. I was having trouble fixing my car and I had my friend help me. We got stuck then he just called his dad and his dad guided us on what to do. I always admire a good father son relationship but never want to comment on it aloud because it’s weird.

    After watching several of their videos, his fathers sense of taste, touch and smell are on another level. The awareness of using all of his senses while preparing and eating food. I am sure it his training but I am blown away by how he can determine acidity, saltiness, blending of flavors and how they complement each other.

    I work in the wine industry and therefore alot of wine and food pairings and when u get someone who knows their stuff, its incredible, definitely levels to the stuff that great chefs and wine tasters know and it leaves u in aura of how fast they can pick apart flavours and even how the food is made by a bite or a sip, I definitely recommend if your able to do a set course or function with a either a chef or wine taster as a speaker cause it changes ur whole perspectives on how u view food and flavours

    It’s a basic skill to have being at his level of expertise. Any cook/chef worth their salt should be able to think and work with all their senses. Also having lived for a long time and just trying different things helps a lot with learning those skills

    This is easily the most detailed and helpful information I've seen in any of the dozens of fast food reviews I get fed through my KZread and Instagram feeds. He focused on ingredients and quality and when a lot of these places all just taste like salt the ones that stick out for having fresh potatoes or actual flakes of fish, however on appetizing that fish May be, is useful

    Like others have said. Your dad is such an empathetical individual. It is truly amazing to see someone go out of there comfort zone in such a caring and respectful way. So genuine. I know thats stupid to say on a fast food review video. But its his personality that shines through.

    I think it depends where you are. I remember eating at Taco Bell in #EarlsCourt in London in the 90s, & given London wasn't stuffed with great authentic Mexican food at that point, thinking it was great! If you're 5 miles from the Mexican border there may well be better options ...

    I could listen to your Dad all week! I had not seen him in some time and I welcome his return. His opinions are spot on. Many of these fast-food places are looking to get back on their feet and get more customers. They ought to hire your Dad as a consultant to develop new dishes, new sauces, and better food in general!

    I love that he said, “mindful of people’s business” people always think super successful individuals are rude and mean in their criticism and I have found that to be the exact opposite.     New subscriber! Watching you and your dad together is really sweet! I’ve always loved watching your dad so this is cool to see you guys on a KZread channel doing fun videos like this. I was suprised at his reviews given what a talented chef he is but I think his assessments and understanding the task at hand was fair and balanced. He had great commentary on all of it given it really is just trash “food” if we can even call it that. He seems like a very fair and cool guy.

    I love how he gave each of them a good solid bite, getting the toppings and sauces and such together to give it a fair shot, even knowing its not the kind (or quality) of food he's accustomed or likes. Fair and respectful reviews as well, even admitting he used to enjoy a bit of KFC. 😄 Looking forward to the rest of the series!
